Welcome to Kauhale Makai 308 with ocean views. This 1bedroom/1bath offers the perfect Hawaiian escape! Enjoy a gorgeous Maui sunset or a peaceful morning on your private lanai. Watch whales breaching, during season, or dine alfresco with seating for four.

The kitchen has been nicely updated and is fully equipped with all any home chef would need to whip up a quick bite or a full meal. The quaint dining area offers seating for four. Enjoy views of the water while dining in.

Inviting living area is a great place to relax after a fun filled day on Maui. Complete with flat screen TV, and convertible sofa for additional sleeping.

The primary suite boasts floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that provide access to private lanai. Drift off to sleep in the cozy King bed. Primary suite also has flat screen TV, and ensuite bath.

This beautiful condo offers central AC to keep cool year round. Coin operated laundry room located on each floor allow for lighter packing.

Kauhale Makai is a sprawling ocean front resort. For your enjoyment there are 2 pools, Hot Tub, Gas BBQ area, Putting Green, Volley Ball Court, Sauna and two Shuffle Boards. Public tennis courts are adjacent to the property. Great location in North Kihei, grocery stores and dining within mins.

Great stay!

We had the most incredible stay. Effortless check in, easy parking, wonderful property layout, secluded location close to everything, gorgeous facilities like the pool and grass field joining the beach. You will see sea turtles every day.

The room was completely renovated and it felt like we were the first to use it. Nice condition and furnishings were mostly black with some gold accents. The wifi code was incorrect but we got that handled. Strangely there was absolutely no cabinet space for food, it has to be left on the counter..The room has an off and on vibration not really noticeable but it did keep me up for a short time in the middle of the nite. Overall we enjoyed our stay but personally I like a room with a more tropical vibe!

Kihei Condo Retreat

We had a great stay at this property. Location was a little ways from the businesses in Kihei while close enough that you could be anywhere in 5 minutes or so within Kihei. The place was clean, and access was convenient. Our view from the place was that of the ocean and popping out to the beach for the sunsets was quite easy to do every night. This was a great location for a reasonable price.

Nice place and a good location.

The location and beach access is good. We had coffee in the mornings on the deck looking out at the water. The laundry was right across the hall from the unit and that was handy. Communication with the property manager was easy. We would stay here again.

A Pleasant Location on the Beach

The apartment was as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. The best part is access to the beach where you can walk for miles. You can watch whales playing in the bay from the balcony. The barbecue and pool areas get a little crowded in the evenings but most of the time the property is quiet.

Everything was almost perfect.

Loved this place to pieces. The pictures are accurate, the beach is a short stroll from the condo, amenities were above and beyond from beach chairs, snorkeling gear, a little cooler for outings, and kitchenware for those frugal vacationers like ourselves. The only critiques I would have are the bedroom floor creaks in the bedroom entryway is enough to wake up your significant other in the middle of the night, and one of the Patio Tables was so large it inhibited my Fiancé and I both from getting a great view of the sunset. The condo rules prohibit moving furniture around so we had to take turns on who got to comfortably see the sunset. The table was just too big to position two people to view the sunset comfortably, and finally the dryer in the halls were digital pay but when you pay 25 cents to dry it will only run for ten minutes at a time so we had to restart it at least ten times every ten minutes to finish drying our laundry. Other then all that this place was amazing and we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great condo, misleading information

This is a great little condo with a nice lanai and view. Unfortunately it is run by Coldwell (you HAVE to sign their separate agreement from VRBO) and then it is managed by a local Hawaiian company. The air conditioning was broken and they failed to let us know ahead of time though admitted to letting the people know who stayed there before us. We had a portable unit that was loud and the output went through the screen door which made getting out to the lanai awkward. After I complained, they did compensate us 20% but it was really disappointing that they didn't let us know ahead of time. It's difficult to get a hold of the management company so I don't know how it would be if it was something more serious wrong.The unit is nice, the property is nice and clean though a bit outdated. I couldn't get the shower to work by the pool so we had to rub off sand with towels. Nice beach, walked just a short way to spot some turtles on the beach. Good location.

We knew the location as my partner used to live in Kihei.First, the great parts: The condo is comfortable, breezy, and convenient to great dining, snorkeling, and shopping spots. In fact there is a pool, barbecue, and a beach on site. The bed is adequately comfortable and the kitchen/ beach accessories are welcome and make the stay more homey. We were able to do everything we needed and more from our location. Parking, too, is quite convenient. The staff welcoming us to the location was laid back and nice. Now some opportunities: The price is very high compared to the local salaries and food prices. About 2-3x or more. That said, this is not atypical for vacation rentals. A consideration is that vacation rentals like this price housing outside the means of locals and so we make local amenities out of reach for people who live in the area.That is really my only offer for opportunities- it really is a nice spot, the owners clearly like living there and offer quite a few comforts. I would stay there again.

The condo association needs to replace the grills they have been here and most non working burners for 3 years, stayed in 2018 and same issue. The toilet in the unit should be replaced with a water saver it seems to be worn out as it doesn't always flush. The bed was just overall hard. It is very quiet, no noise through floors or walls like you get in hotel rooms. Didn't have a coffee maker so called the property management and they brought one over with in the hour with a bag of coffee for the inconvenience. Overall wonderful everything, after all it is Maui!
