Was in Toccoa for a family gathering and Deerfield Cottage provided the perfect accommodations for us and for our goldendoodle. Clean, neat, with comfortable beds, located in a peaceful wooded area just minutes from downtown. Highly recommend.
We were in town for a short weekend. The place was easy to find in a great location. It was clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable. Communication with owner was good and she replied quickly to any correspondence. The only thing I would say is there are excessive rules. Luckily, my husband and I didn’t need much. more than a place to sleep, but there were so many rules, it felt almost not welcoming.
We were looking for a place near Toccoa that would sleep five plus we brought our little dog. Great choice, I would stay there again without hesitation.
This cottage was very comfortable, clean, and cozy. We enjoyed our stay here with absolutely no issues. The host was very communicative. Would recommend this place.
This was a very cute cottage. We normally don't travel with pets but needed to on this trip. Cottage made it very easy to accommodate our pets. Was very clean and cozy. Very close to town and restaurants. I would definitely rent again.
Great location close to Toccoa restaurants & short drive to Tallulah Falls State Park. Wonderfully deep tub for soaking after a challenging hike! Thoughtful touches by host that made it easy to be there: Salt, pepper, typical kitchen items, & FREE coffee!!!! Comfortable beds. Would return in a heartbeat.

Wedding venue? It's fine. Vacation time? Nope.
We were at Deerfield Cottage for 6 days; 5 adults ,1 infant. These are the pros and cons
Pros:
The house was mostly clean. Dog nose art on some windows.
There were ample towels/pillows/toilet paper.
It is pet-friendly (we did not end up bringing our dog)
It has woods on 2 sides (where the deer come from)
There is a smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime
Cons:
No guests of any kind. This is in the rules, I just missed it. And we did get charged extra for family visiting us. No wild party, just old folks sitting around talking. Rules is rules, especially when there is a buck to be made. People under the age of 24 have to be supervised. Seriously. It’s in the rules!
Proximity to the woods means bugs, inside and out. Outside, a lot of spiders and accompanying webs on the front porch and the deck. You need to sweep/wipe EVERYTHING if you want to sit outside.
One (1) common bathroom. Showers and bathroom breaks need to be coordinated if you are a large party. Also, the bathroom has a pocket door, which was very loud in the middle of the night.
Three of the 5 adults did NOT have cell service. Internet IS available, but is slow and spotty.
The owners do not wish to have anything plugged into their TV, so don’t plan on using gaming systems or computers with their tv.
The dishwasher works but it doesn't.
The closet/bedroom that has a barn door that easily falls off the rails (owners notified).
A long stay, it feels like you actually aren’t welcome there. But your money is.
We came for a wedding at the Falls. Deerfield Cottage is very close to all the events and was a great place for our family to relax in between activities
We love staying at this home - it’s perfect and has everything we need. Our dog loves the yard too, and it’s super close to Toccoa Falls College so we can see our daughter often. The beds are super comfortable and the living room is the coziest. Feels like home! And the owners are kind and very sweet. Such a beautiful property. We love sitting out on the back porch.
Place was great and the host was great. Location was close to both Toccoa Falls and Tallulah Gorge. Then the bonus golf round at Currahee. Incredible. Will definitely be back.
This property could not have been any better for my family and I for our stay. There were deer and fireflies in the area across the road in the evenings, and the home was immaculate. I was slightly concerned after reading another review about the home not being toddler friendly, but my toddler couldn’t have been more excited to hear her little footsteps echoing from the flooring. We had a wonderful time and plan to visit again next year.

Why they chose this property
The Deerfield Cottage is often used by bridal parties for our wedding venue adjacent to the property. We call it Deerfield Cottage because one can often catch glimpses of the deer both in the park like setting in the front of the cottage and the field behind it. Also Deerfield, Illinois is where we met, dated, got married and lived several years ago.
