The Shiplap Cottage is newly renovated and close to all the attractions!

Its beautiful shiplap walls and Spanish wood ceilings alone make it a must stay! Inside you'll find comfy beds, a stocked kitchen, and an open living room to watch all your favorite Netflix/Sling shows. Enjoy a perfect day in the fenced in backyard equipped with cornhole, a fire pit, & a charcoal grill. Down the street from Heritage Park.

Not a good neighborhood. Within 10 minutes of us being there a woman approached our door and gave us a story that she needed money. We never felt that safe there. Place was clean and spacious, though.

The house was well decorated and a lot of thought and effort was put into it. However it was not in a good part of town. The neighbor knocked on the door begging for money, the people across the street left loud running vehicles for literally 10 or more hours, revving the motor. There was constant loud thump, thump music every night until 2 or 3 in the morning. The foundation of the house was so uneven that we had to lay on the opposite end of the bed or we felt as if we were laying with our feet in the air. The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable the couches were cute but uncomfortable. And the toilet in the back bathroom ran all the time. Not all of this is within the hosts control, I get it but if we go back to Waco this is not be a location we would stay at. On the other hand, the host was very commucative and accommodating and we had everything we needed. The house really was cute and I understand that you cannot control the neighborhood.

Upon arrival the house was very cold, it was 53 degrees. Took over an hour to get the house comfortable. The dryer was not working, lastly no trash bags were left, so we only had 1 trash bag for the 2 nights paid for. It was a disappointing stay. We stay in Vrbo rentals frequently and have never had issues like this. Seems like the house isn’t well cared for.

Cute spot near the Silos

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean and the towels were extra soft and fluffy. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was nice. It’s an older house but you can tell they took great care in refinishing everything. We would stay here again.
