Pack light and bring your own food to cook, they have everything you need. I would recommend this cabin to anyone just follow there rules and you are set for a great weekend get away
This place was an oasis after traveling for several days. The two chairs on the front porch made viewing the herd of big horn sheep the best viewing spot. We got to see a herd of males ramming their heads together and it sounded like thunder even from across the field. Baby bunnies were a fun sight. I got to see my very first fireflies which sounds silly, but it was incredible to see the field light up. Loved the sinks in each room. Shower was ridiculously large in a good way. Would highly recommend if you want to be out in nature and in a peaceful setting.
I mistakenly thought there were two beds in the one bedroom which was an issue but solved with a blow up mattress. This was just an oversight on my part. I would recommend taking a picture of the full rooms so it can be seen as only one bed per room. The hot tub was not usable for most of the day as there was no overhead shade so that was a bummer but we used it every night! The wasps were pretty bad due the day so we were not able to use the deck during the day much. If there was more daytime shade a a better wasp solution this would have been 5 stars. The property is beautiful and had everything we needed and more. Would love to visit again, but would only bring a portion of what we did. We were very happy here for the week!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and for highlighting that the property was beautiful and had everything you needed! We are thrilled to hear that you were very happy during your week-long stay and would love to welcome you back.
We completely understand how frustrating insects can be, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the wasps. Because our property is located in the mountains of the Black Hills, local wildlife is a natural part of the environment. We do perform regular, routine wasp maintenance to keep them at bay, but when temperatures soar into the 100 degree range like they did during your stay, the intense heat unfortunately drives a major surge in activity that can still become an issue.
Regarding the daytime shade, we would love to offer features like patio umbrellas or awnings, but the high winds we regularly experience on the property make them a severe safety hazard and structurally impossible to maintain.
We are so glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay, and we look forward to hosting you again in the future (hopefully during a slightly cooler week!).
Loved this property and location for our trip! The layout of the property was well thought out and worked well for us. The location was great if you plan on visiting the nearby parks. Such a quiet neighborhood and it was nice to see the stars at night. Property was clean and neat with an easy check in and check out process. Home run for us and we would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to the area.
My husband and I loved our stay here! Absolutely gorgeous place with a view that matches. Location was perfect as it wasn’t far away from trails we wanted to hike. Will definitely be coming back!
Perfect little hide away tucked in the beautiful black hills ! We had the best time as a family . The cabin was perfect . Loved seeing all the wild life !
Rented this amazing cabin for our trip out west. This cabin is so clean and well stocked. We loved getting up in the morning and seeing deer and turkeys, and then relaxing in hot tub after long day of exploring. Very private yet close to town and attractions such as Mount Rushmore monument, Crazy Horse, Custer state park and Sturgis. Was perfect for our trip!
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cabin. The location was very peaceful and natural. We saw deer roaming around every day and a fox hunting in the yard one day. The cabin was very charming and comfortable.
My husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The place was super clean and so unique! We loved all of the wildlife that we saw sitting on the deck in the morning and evenings. It was the perfect get away.
