Charter a fishing excursion, stroll around the neighborhood along the Suwannee River, grab lunch at the Gateway Marina (just a 5 minute walk around the canal), splash in the outdoor pool, or just relax in this quaint fishing village. If you bring your own boat or kayaks, dock space is available for use free of charge. Shired Island Beach (on the Gulf) is 14 miles away.

Great place , Have nothing negative to say about it. Everything was perfect. One of the toilets was clogged but it was nothing a plunger couldn't fix. We will definitely be going back . Majority of places you visit these days has turned into a party town and loud and obnoxious people. This is the opposite of that. This place gets a 10 all the way round. Condo was perfect , location was perfect, The host Mrs Amy went above and beyond our expectations always just a text away if we needed anything. She definitely gets a 10.

Best of both worlds

You get the best of both worlds by traveling either up the river to a fresh water retreat at the sand bar to relax after a fun day of scalloping and fishing in the salt waters of the gulf. The condo was quiet, clean, and decorated very nicely. We will definitely be back to enjoy another stay here.
