Gather and relax in this spacious log cabin! Perfect place to get away from it all! Inside all the comforts of home -enjoy games in the Game Room, enjoy a glass of wine on the wrap around porch or watch a movie in Media Room. Kitchen is well-appointed and looks out onto spacious deck with view. After a hike, enjoy the new hot tub off the patio. Whispering Pines Cabin is the perfect place for family gatherings, weekend with friends or just to get away from it all.
At night be sure to look up-the stars are AMAZING! Or take a look while sitting by the new fire pit - bring your s'mores!
There are some little critters (no bears) around, and a local flock of wild turkeys. We do have 1 security camera, pointed towards the driveway. The deer seem to like to hang out there a bit!

Great host with a beautiful mountain setting cabin!

The house is beautiful and well maintained. The wrap around porch was amazing, and it included gates so the dog and little ones were safe while out there. Each bedroom was comfortable and very roomy. There was more than enough room for our party of 6 adults, 4 kids, and 1 dog. Mollie was an amazing host and helped us get through a difficult time during hurricane Helene. I would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Beautiful mountain house

Our family loved this beautiful home and are looking forward to future visits. The game room, movie room, hot tub, and views were an added bonus. Highly recommend a visit to Forest City where there are several shops and great places to eat and visit. The house is off the beaten path, but very easy to access.

Amazing place for a family gathering!

My family from different states gathered at Whispering Pines, the cabin was perfect. It had everything that we could possibly need, Mollie responded quickly to all my questions and was so gracious. I would love to come back and recommend this cabin.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

Beautiful home with an excellent host for 6 long time friends to celebrate a late Christmas together! There couldn’t have been a more perfect property accommodation wise or location wise. We hope to rent here again next year!

Great family vacation!

Seven of us met up from four different states. A great house for a great family vacation. Very clean, and comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. Recommend this house for privacy in the woods but close enough to Asheville for a day trip.

Family getaway

We had a wonderful long weekend at the cabin. Our favorite things were sitting in the hot tub, rocking on the deck, using the movie room and playing pingpong. The cabin had everything we needed and lots of little things to make it special. We would definitely stay here again!

Mountain Retreat Wonderful

The home is remote in the woods and quiet and so peaceful. Little out from town but if you want quiet this is it. Game room and hot tub and just beautiful home.

Perfect for a girls get away!

This property was just perfect for our mother/daughter trip for a weekend wedding! The property was just as described & left nothing to be desired. It was clean, well-stocked, comfortable & beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Lovely Getaway

The pictures of this house don’t do it justice — it is very well maintained, clean and stocked with everything needed for a relaxing, cozy stay. The host was very helpful and communicative when needed. The only downside to the location is that most grocery stores are at least 30 minutes away, so make sure to stock up prior to checking in if you don’t want to have to venture out. All in all, we had a great stay! Adults and kids all had a blast and we spent a lot of time in the game room, movie room and hot tub. Great place to get away!

Beautiful getaway!

Mollie’s cabin is absolutely beautiful. Great views of the mountains, very clean, and well kept. My friends and I had a great time golfing around local spots and hiking South Mountain. The kitchen is well equipped if cooking at the house and there’s a great game room downstairs. I would definitely recommend this cabin to my friends and family.

Fall Break Teen Advance

My wife & I took some of our teenagers from our church for a fall break trip. Whispering Pines is a beautiful cabin with everything that we needed, and the entire cabin was super clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, and having a bathroom on each floor was very convenient. All of the fall decorations were a nice touch. The teens enjoyed the game room in the basement. We would definitely love to stay here again if we are ever back in the area!

Amazing, Top to Bottom!

From the moment we pulled into the driveway, I could feel the peace just being on the property. We walked in, and there were fresh roses in the kitchen for us and a basket of goodies. Everything was stocked, and we had need of nothing! There were ample dishes and cookware. We could have vacation all week just staying in the cabin! Plenty to do and peacefulness in abundance. There was even small fragrance bottles in the bathrooms. The homeowners went above and beyond! Check in and out was a breeze and the responsiveness for our questions was very timely. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway!

Amazing

This place was amazing. It was peaceful, quiet, an amazing getaway from reality, and just what I needed to relax and stop stressing and worrying about my dad to day life back home. I wish it didn't have to end so quickly. Mollie was an awesome person to deal with. When I had questions she was fairly quick to respond. My daughters don't like doing much with their parents anymore, however this vacation, they loved spending time with us. I can't wait to book this trip in the future. Highly recommend to anyone lookin to getaway even if it's for the weekend.

Awesome Stay!

This place is called Whispering Pines, but I prefer to call it Tranquility Base. In a remote, wooded area, it was easy to leave all of our problems behind and to spend serious quality time with family. Ten of us were very comfortable. You will feel as if the forest is yours. The property is excellently maintained, clean and well appointed. Host Molly was exceptional and replied very quickly on several occasions when I had questions. We did seek out some activities and found some great tubing about an hours drive away, and we found some beautiful hiking under umbrellas of tall pine trees at nearby South Mountain State Park. You won’t regret staying at Whispering Pines. We are already planning our next visit.

Quiet Beautiful Getaway A++++

Absolutely beautiful cabin, in a beautiful location. Owner is very responsive and any little issue we had was solved immediately. Very kind owner. Cabin is decorated beautiful, and very functional. We had some bad weather, so the game room was great for the kids and adults. We had a blast. Cabin is very secluded, which is exactly what we wanted and had everything we needed. Beds are very comfortable, and my husband and I both have back problems and we had no issue on these beds. The space was great for our family and we had a lot of space outside to walk our dog. We will absolutely stay here again, and there are not many places I can say that about. Thank you Mollie for sharing your beautiful cabin with us and for all of your help!

relaxing Retreat

This was our second visit to this cabin, and we will definitely visit again! It has plenty of room for my husband and I, along with our 3 adult children, to spread out and relax. We especially enjoy the hot tub, which seats the 5 of us comfortably. We watched a few movies while we were there, and again, there was plenty of room for all of us to sit comfortably. The living room is spacious, and we used the coffee table to play several board games, which were provided. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed, including a blender and keurig maker. We also used the fire pit several times and appreciated the provided wood. The added niceties such as towels for the hot tub, k-cups, snack basket, shampoo & conditioner, and blankets in the movie room, make this cabin very welcoming! The property is easy to get to and well maintained. The back deck has comfy chairs for enjoying quiet mornings. Overall, this is just a great cabin, and we look forward to our next visit!!

Perfect mountain escape

As a Christmas gift for our daughter and her family, we rented Mollie's cabin in the woods for three nights. Since they are currently living in an RV while building their new home, the house and property gave three active boys room to roam. It was the perfect place for boys and adults alike and even better than described. The cabin is large, beautifully decorated for Christmas, and well-supplied. We had a great time exploring the area: the boys went "mining", my daughter and I went to the winery, and we all enjoyed easy hikes, local restaurants, and the Arcade Museum nearby. The hot tub was great at night - no star gazing due to the clouds and rain but that didn't dampen our stay. We family binge watched Jurassic Park in the media room! We didn't get to do the mountain coaster nearby since it was closed for the season but we'll leave that for another time. Mollie was a super communicator quickly answering any questions we had. We highly recommend her cabin if you are looking for peace and quiet.

Family reunion/weekend get away

This property is absolutely beautiful and clean. When we drove up the hill and finally got to the property, you immediately think it’s nice. Then as you walk up the stairs to the porch it’s like Wow! It’s so welcoming! As you proceed into the cabin you immediately feel at home and welcomed. My eyes were drawn to the living room which over looks the beautiful view! Which I see the chairs outside and couldn’t wait for morning to come and drink a cup of coffee out on the porch. We enjoyed watching the view and hummingbirds. They also, had a wonderful welcoming snack basket for us. Which we enjoyed very much! Thank you!!Our grand dog came with our daughter and son in law and lady loved it too! Our son in law loved the dartboard. Mollie and her husband were extremely kind and helpful. They apparently had some bad storms and had to replace the tv and hadn’t had a chance to update the welcome book. The welcome book offers a lot of information to make your stay more at ease. The most difficult thing besides leaving the beautiful home is having to use the chrome cast. We don’t use anything like that where we live. So we had to do a lot of downloading and finding something we could use for free for the weekend. Other than that, their home is perfectly stocked and comfortable. Our kids are wanting for our whole family to come and stay together for a weekend visit. My husband and I have stayed at several VRBO homes and this by far was the nicest and cleanest by far. Mollie and her husband are absolutely wonderful and gracious host!

Family Wedding Gathering

This was the perfect cabin for our family. We were able to relax and enjoy the cabin, hot tub and beautiful scenery after busy wedding schedules. The cabin provided everything we could possibly need. Highly recommend !!!

Great secluded get away!

Truly one of the best VRBO's I have stayed in. The home was very clean and well-decorated. The touches of fall decor were so nice for the season. You could really tell the love the hosts put into the home. The kitchen was very well stocked and had all the basics to make a meal and more. The coffee area was an added plus. The game room downstairs was awesome and truly even better than photos show. The bunk room was downstairs which would be great for kiddos on a family vacation, but worked well for our group of adults. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and everything felt very clean and well taken care of. There were even extra blankets available. The drive up to the home was simple for a mountain home, and the view from the outdoor areas was great. We loved being able to bring our dogs and even though it is a pet-friendly home, there are no signs of previous dogs staying at the home - very clean!! The hosts even had dog bowls available for use! The only trouble we had all weekend was figuring out the TVs and chrome cast. I would recommend bringing DVD's for the movie room if you have them, but we did end up figuring out chromecast. This home went above and beyond our expectations and I will definitely stay here again!
