This was an ideal place for my big family (including two dogs) to stay for my son’s graduation. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably and enjoy time together. Private bathrooms for all. And a full kitchen and large table for family meals. The barn was truly an ideal spot for us - far exceeding our expectations (photos don’t do it justice). Thanks for a fantastic stay!

We were a family of 7 (+ 2 dogs), needing a comfortable & roomy place to stay while we moved our daughter & son-in-law to the Ithaca area. The Yellow Barn was absolutely perfect for us. While we didn’t have a lot of time to fully appreciate the property, we did spend time perusing the gorgeous bird books and reflecting on the journaling book that detailed the building of this beautiful barn & property. We did cook breakfast, & found everything we needed in the fully stocked & efficient kitchen.
All bedrooms have adjacent bathrooms, which was so nice. Beds were very comfortable and seating was more than adequate. I wish we’d had more time to relax in the outside areas, like the front porch, overhead deck, & fire pit.
Communication was excellent, check in was seamless, & parking was abundant! We were able to fit our large moving van, + 3 extra cars.
You definitely won’t regret booking this charming, spacious, & comfortable property!
This property was absolutely beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. Beautiful front porch, large beautiful great room, wide plank oak floors, screen room, decks, one with fire pit, I could go on and on….. we booked it for my daughters graduation, family fit comfortably. So spacious. We had a few of her friends over graduation night for dinner and plenty of room for everyone, including parking. Plus, easy to get to Cornell and stores, but set away from everything so very quiet. Michael was very attentive, quick to respond, and the caretaker couldn’t have been nicer and you could tell, he truly wanted us to enjoy ourselves. He even offered to set up horseshoes if we wanted to play. Well stocked and they were kind enough to provide local products for us to try, witch was very thoughtful. I would rent this house again in a minute, even my adult children were impressed.
Even better than the photos and description suggest
While the setting and style are rustic (typical for the area), there are a lot of thoughtful extras and details that this property features that are not often found in rental homes or hotels. Including:
- all en suite bathrooms
- ground floor bedroom looks suitable for those with accessibility issues (we didn't have that in our group, but just saying)
- nice fluffy towels and warm fluffy comforters
- each bedroom has its own AC, ceiling fan, desk/chair, separate chair, dresser, space to hang stuff, and windows
- bathrooms have their own fan!
- bathrooms have nice soap, conditioner, lotion, shampoo and also bar soap
- there are 2 decks including a fire pit and some firewood
- kitchen had a bunch of extra supplies including coffee, napkins, cereal, juices, foil, plastic wrap, plastic bags, and a bottled water dispenser
- there are multiple sitting areas in the house
- Housekeepers were responsive, polite and friendly
You should note that parking is on the right side and kind of separated from the house by a gravel driveway. Don't park in front of the house even for loading/unloading.
Overall a great place to stay!
