Antler Ridge Hideaway

Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

That deck! That view! If you’re looking for a secluded mountainside retreat with an absolutely jaw-dropping mountain view, you’ve found it with the gorgeous three-bedroom Antler Ridge Hideaway. Spend the morning sipping coffee on the porch swing or in a rocking chair on your screened-in porch, and then spend the afternoon on the massive deck downstairs, taking in the view while you relax on the outdoor couch and soak in your private hot tub.

Inside, you’ll find lots of knotty pine and cozy cabin decor. The well-equipped kitchen features a full set of stainless steel appliances and a dining table for six, though you’ll probably want to dine alfresco on the deck. The cozy living room is the perfect place to snuggle up in front of the gas fireplace and stream a movie or play a board game. If you’ve got any remote work to catch up on, there’s an office nook in the main bedroom suite – but you’ll probably be too distracted by the view. Downstairs, you’ll find another family room with a TV, dry bar, a gas fireplace, and a pool table, perfect for a friendly game.

When you’re ready to explore, this home sits right on the Benton MacKaye Trail. The Appalachian Trail, apple orchards, waterfalls, river tubing, and kayaking are all nearby as well. At the end of the day, fire up the gas grill and play a game of corn hole while night falls. An evening of conversation around the fire pit, another soak in the hot tub, and a game of pool cap off a perfect mountain day – with another to come tomorrow.

The cabin had a beautiful view and was clean. The only drawbacks were that the grill didn’t work (never got hot enough to cook the meat done), the hot tub water looked brown/discolored, and the road to the cabin was very scary (one tiny lane).

Great views and secluded location.

We enjoyed our stay at this mountain cabin. Vacasa was very responsive to all our questions, even late at night. Only complaint was the check in time was later than most places (4:00pm) and check out was earlier than most places (10:00am). Getting to the cabin was a little challenging when it rained during our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Fun Stay in Cherry Log

We loved the 3 bedroom and three bath. Lots of outdoor space… screened in porch with a swing, large deck with lots of seating and hot tub and a fire pit away from the house for a more outdoorsy camping feel. Fun downstairs seating area with a pool table and mini bar was cool.

If you want a view and nature this is your place!

This was our third stay in this cabin. The roads are rough going up and down the mountain, but the cabin is so peaceful and the view is picturesque. You may even get lucky and see wild animals in the field. Perfect place for our family getaways and making memories with our children and grandkids. Not too far from trails, restaurants and several towns. I want to thank the owners for sharing their piece of paradise with us (including our dog).

Lovely Getaway!

My bridesmaids and I stayed here for a weekend and we were all absolutely blown away by this cabin. So cute and secluded for the Twilight theme of my bachelorette party. The only thing I would warn others is to heed the all wheel drive warning! We would not have made it without a Subaru.

My family and I enjoyed the house on Laurel Mountain in Blue Ridge! The home was exactly as described. Kitchen was well appointed. Just bring your food. We enjoyed the hot tub and firepit. The scorpions were fun to see and the view was spectacular. Beds were comfy.

Birthday in the Mountains

We spend weekend at cabin to celebrate my sister's bday! The cabin was absolutely PERFECT for the 3 couples. There was nothing that we didn't enjoy about the cabin itself. The only issue we had was the trek up the road to the cabin. 2 couples had SUVs but 1 had a car & that was tough on them. So I would highly recommend a truck & definitely come when it's still daylight out! We would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the city to just unwind & enjoy nature!

Perfect Place for our Thanksgiving

We had two families of 4 (8 total) and there was plenty of space in this home. It was the perfect getaway that we were looking for. Everything was clean and cozy and was a wonderful experience for our families. The Hot tub was perfect for us at night and at dusk we would sit on the porch and watch the deer come in. The game room downstairs was perfect for all of us to play some pool as well as play some arcade video games! When you book your stay make sure you go a visit the Bigfoot Museum that's only about 15 minutes away. Was a great experience to do not just for the kids but for us adults. All in all this was exactly what we were looking for and would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who is looking for a mountainous getaway!

My family and I loved this property! There were 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 8-13) and we had plenty of space to lounge without getting in each other’s way! The view was absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed the majority of my time on the rocking chair in the screened-in porch! The house had everything a family needs for their stay! Pots, pans, baking sheets, coffee maker, plates/silverware and cups/mugs for 6. There were not a lot of leftovers from other people’s stays, so we had to supply a lot of the seasonings and condiments we needed. The drive up is an adventure, to say the least. The cabin is about a mile up the mountain and it can get very steep in some places. We have a Chevy Traverse and made it up with the occasional sliding of tires. I would highly recommend a 4WD vehicle! We only drove in beautiful, dry weather, and I’m extremely thankful we didn’t have to go up or down in any rain! Most of the roads are wide enough for 1 car and made of dirt/gravel and there are LOTS of bumps along the way! The house is a perfect location on the mountain, about 600 ft off the main road so you don’t see the neighbors, but you can hear them when you’re sitting outside. The house is closed in by trees so you feel alone and we saw lots of deer close to the house! We brought my 2 dogs with us and they did so good! The furniture is mostly leather with hardwood floors throughout the cabin so we didn’t worry too much about scratches! We absolutely loved staying here and will be back!!

Pleasant Stay

We enjoyed the cabin and the amenities provided. It was nice to relax in the hot tub or just sit on one of the decks. We also enjoyed playing pool. We had to replace the tips for the pool cues but that is probably due to the prior renters use. The power went out the day we arrived, and Sandy was helpful in checking the website to determine the reason. She then kept us updated as to the power outage status. A large area was hit by the outage. She was very helpful and we appreciated it. The main reason I did not give 5's across the board is because Sandy was rude to me the day we checked in. If a renter fails to remember something they read, verbally chastising them is not appropriate. The other communication issue is her use of all caps. Most people see all caps as written yelling. Other than that, the other things we saw were minor and not worth mentioning.

Beautiful view, treacherous roads!

This home is beautiful and almost all the amenities are great! The view from the fire pit is unmatched. The hot tub was wonderful. The game room downstairs wasn’t used by my parents and I, but had the rest of my family been with us it would have been fantastic. The fireplace in the living room upstairs we could not get to work, because it operates via a remote and the remote was no where to be found. This was disappointing. The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. Our main concern with this property was the downright terrifying roads you must deal with to get up to the house and the horrible directions that got us lost in the mountain neighborhood for 1+ hours. When you turn off the main highway, 5/76, onto the dirt road at the church, TURN OFF YOUR GPS. It will lead you the wrong way and up the mountain through the steepest, narrowest, most pot hole ridden “roads” we’ve ever encountered. My dad has a 4WD Chevy Silverado and we were scared we wouldn’t make it and/or would slide off the edge and down the mountain or lose a tire in the body-sized pot holes. We had to stop twice to ask local neighbors if they could help us find this house. The first couple were nice, but steered us the wrong way and we ended up back at the beginning of the loop(s) where we started in this vast mountain neighborhood area. We went the opposite way the GPS was directing us and the 2nd local neighbor we stopped to talk to helped us find the correct road to go up (not named on GPS and no street sign labeling it). Once we FINALLY found the driveway, we had to hope and pray we could make it up! The absolute steepest, narrowest near-90 degree turned driveway we’ve ever seen. Thank the Lord it is paved! Once we got up to the house my dad realized there was probably no way to turn his 20 ft truck around because there wasn’t enough room. He thought he would have to back all the way down the long, steep, narrow driveway every day for a week. After calling Vacasa and finally getting in touch with the property manager, Nicole, she explained to us that the only way to turn around to get out is to do a 3/5/7/9 point turn at the point in the driveway where the very steep near-90 degree turn is, there is also a small space dug out of the mountain you can back into. It was extremely difficult and stressful to get up to and leave out from this house once every day. We also had to make sure to be back well before dark each afternoon/evening, because having to face those roads and driveway in the dark would be a death wish. We absolutely loved the house and the gorgeous view and the amenities, but we will never be back solely due to the terrifying route from highway to house.

This cabin has it all

This cabin was amazing!! It had ample space for my family of 4, plus my parents, and my brother. The pool table, game system, hot tub, huge deck space, fire pit, porch swings, Mountain View’s from inside and outside, comfort of the beds, and accessibility to nearby hiking trails were all amazing. The only thing I’d make sure to bring is cleaning spray like Meyers or something. Everything else like paper towels, sponge, and soap were provided. I’d always pack extra paper towels if it were me. Also, having an all/4 wheel drive is important. It’s a gravel road with many uneven areas. Go to Ingles in the town of Ellijay before you get there and don’t plan on leaving if you can help it. The cabin is so relaxing and like mentioned earlier, the hiking trails give you something to do during the day. I give this place a 9/10 overall. Truly an amazing experience!
