Peaceful cottage tucked away in beautiful Mattapoisett. Located only 1 mile from Ned’s Point Lighthouse and less than 1 mile from the town beach and pier, this quiet getaway truly has something to offer for everyone. There are multiple amazing restaurants such as Turk’s Seafood, the Mattapoisett Inn and Rustico located right near the property, and you are only 9 miles from historic seaport New Bedford. Cape Cod is also a quick drive away making this property a spectacular location to get that “on the Cape” feel without dealing with that “on the Cape” traffic.

The cottage features 1 master bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, and a kitchen and living room area. The house is furnished with mini splits in each bedroom and the kitchen/living room area that provide both heat and air conditioning, making the house comfortable year-round. The kitchen has pots, pans, utensils, and both a Keurig coffee maker and a drip style coffee maker.

Also featured for the property is a detached bar room separate from the house furnished with a heater for the colder months and a smart TV with a sound bar and subwoofer, perfect for watching a sports game, or relaxing and listening to some music.

Lovely Private Cottage

My name is Chris, I am a prior EMT/First Responder and now currently work as a registered nurse. My wife and I have been hosting this property since 2022, and it has been an absolute honor and a pleasure hosting all of great guests who have chosen to stay here. My favorite thing about being a host is hearing all of the great stories and memories from guests about their stay, and all of the fun things that they have done during their time here.

One of the things I am most proud of about hosting are, not just the high standards I have for my property, but also the repeat guests who choose to come year over year for their summary vacation. When I have a repeat guest come back to the property because they enjoined their stay initially, I consider it a great honor. There are many places where you can choose to stay for your getaway, however when we have a guest return for their stay, it reiterates the high standards we have for our property, and our dedication to making your stay here as enjoyable as it can be.

Why they chose this property

The area where the property is located is quiet, peaceful and perfectly located in an ideal location in Mattapoisett. On of my favorite spots near the house is "On The Go" which has great sandwiches, and amazing pre made meals for an easy dinner. Turks Seafood, which is located right down the road from the property is a Mattapoisett staple. If you have been to Mattapoisett before, or grew up here, then you know about Turks. I always recommend this restaurant to guests who may be traveling from out of state, since I feel that it is one of the quintessential parts of traveling to this town, and encourage everyone who visits to check it out.

One of my favorite parts about where the property is located in Neds Point Lighthouse. This is one of Mattapoisett's most iconic landmarks. This historic lighthouse overlooks the harbor and is my favorite spot for photography, picnics and sunset views. This is a great walk to take from the house to enjoy the view, you can also drive as there is parking available as well.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property unique is its location, its amenities, and our dedication to provide an enjoyable and unique experience for our guests. The house is fully equipped with Mini splits, heat pumps, and baseboard heat, making the property comfortable no matter the time of year. Additionally, we provide a fully equipped kitchen, with pots, pans, cooking sheets, premium knife set etc. We provide both a Keurig and a drip style coffee maker.

On nights where it is appropriate, there is a fire pit that can be used by guests as long as the house rules are followed.

Also, we are the only listing in Mattapoisett with a detached bar room that truly makes this property one of the most unique listings in town.

Finally, my personal dedication to guests. As having had the experience to use VRBO myself on personal vacations, I know what it means to be a guest, and I know how important it is to arrive at a property and have it truly feel like you are on vacation. Between myself and my team of dedicated landscapers and housekeepers we take great pride in this property and consider it an honor to host all of the guests who chose to stay at this property.
