Gorgeous Beach House on Vancouver Island

Located just 45 minutes north of Nanaimo, near Bowser, is picturesque Deep Bay. Our stylish beachfront home is located 2 km off Highway 19 and uniquely situated near the end of Deep Bay spit. The property is 100 feet of walk-on ocean beach front and offers spectacular views of Baynes Sound, Chrome Island Lighthouse and Denman Island.
The house has been completely renovated and is fully furnished. A spacious living room takes in the spectacular ocean views, and is tastefully decorated with a large leather sectional facing a 50-inch flat screen TV. The fully equipped kitchen features a new stainless appliance package including stove, microwave, dishwasher, side-by-side fridge with water and ice maker, and a large dining table. The home offers three bedrooms, two with comfortable king size bed and one with two double beds. The newly renovated master bedroom faces the ocean and has access to the front patio. The renovated five-piece bathroom features dual sinks. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer as well as a single bed.
Additional amenities include a WIFI, gas BBQ, outdoor shower, cable TV, DVD player, and a variety of board games. All linens and towels are included.
The property offers several outdoor spaces to spend your day and take in the awe-inspiring sunsets and sunrises. Star gazing is amazing too! At low tide, a sandbar extends in front of the property providing the perfect spot for exploring the beach.
Watch the boats come and go, marvel at the soaring Eagles and enjoy the antics of the local seal colony. Bring your camera and capture the true beauty of the West Coast Lifestyle and its marine life.
For the outdoor enthusiast; visit any of the world class golf courses in the region, play tennis, comb miles of beaches, ski the hills of Mount Washington, explore nearby Strathcona Park, or take a day trip to Long Beach on the western side of Vancouver Island and experience Canada's best surfing.
The nearby marina provides a boat launch and offers the newly renovated Ship and Shore Restaurant just a short walk down the road.
Don't miss exploring the nearby communities as well, Campbell River, Courtenay, Comox, Bowser and Qualicum Beach. Shopping, fine dining and the famous West Coast hospitality will greet you where ever you turn.

Fabulous place right on the water. Absolutely everything was provided. So many activities available to do or just kick back and relax. Also, new tennis courts are only a 5 minute drive away.

Fabulous beach house getaway

This house was clean, well stocked and right on the beach. It is a bit out of the way (which is part of the charm of the location, right on a spit of land) if you run out of coffee, so make sure you stock up on all you need. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it made for some wonderful memories, thank you!

Wonderful Beach house!

My family and I loved our stay at the beach house - it’s in a central location on the island to many hikes and attractions. There were days that we just hung out and found sea shells, walked along the private beach, watched seals and went paddle boarding (we rented an inflatable paddle board for the week). The property was clean and the kitchen well stocked with everything we could need for cooking.

Picturesque and Relaxing

This is a beautiful house with one of the most breathtaking views I've ever seen! Especially at sunset! The house is comfortable and it's obvious the owner has put thought into equipping it with all the little things you may not have thought to pack. We had a wonderful, relaxing time and would definitely stay again if we ever return to beautiful Vancouver Island!

Excellent beachfront family house

We absolutely loved the location, layout and amenities of this house! Sea lions, eagles, seals etc were constantly visible from the living room, and long beach walks at low tide were a daily routine. The mid-century modern house was surprisingly spacious with large bedrooms and living areas - more than enough space for 6 of us. The kitchen was well-stocked, the house was very clean and nicely decorated. This was an awesome place to spend a family week getaway, with lots of good day trips in close proximity.

Deep Bay Beach Home

We enjoyed our Christmas break stay at the Deep Bay property. We caught the tail end of a storm coupled with a high tide which was fantastic. A short walk to the end of the road treated us to two mature eagles roosting on top of an old fishing trawler. Tidy and well appointed. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for such an relaxing experience.

Amazing

My family and I were looking for a nice relaxing place by the water. That is exactly what we got staying here in Bowser. We enjoyed watching the seals, sitting in the sun, playing the outdoor and indoor games provided here by the owner. We have two young kids and they just loved the easy access to the beach and looking for shells and sea creatures. We will definitely be coming back here to stay in the future! Thank you very much!

Deep Bay Beach House

We just returned from a week long family vacation at this lovely house. Beautifully renovated, with a wonderfully equipped kitchen, that lacked nothing. All furnishings are new, and the beds and linens are excellent. We had 5 adults and 2 children in our group, and it is a perfect location for any age. It is a very safe swimming beach, and we all enjoyed the water plus long walks on the beach at low-tide. The big screen TV was a nice addition when some down-time was needed. We will return next year! There are many great day trips to be had from this location as well.

So relaxing

This is the second time staying at this deep bay beach house and we loved it just as much as the first time in 2019! We have two kids ages 6&9 and they have so much fun with the basketball net, games and puzzles and just a quick few steps from the beach. It is great sitting in the kitchen, living room or master bedroom with the view from the big widows. This is just a short ferry ride from home so we will definitely be staying here again in the future. Secluded and something for everyone. Thank you so much Joan!

Deep Bay Beach House

We are from out of province and my husband and I found a little piece of heaven here. We have been at least five times over the past ten or so years and love it even more each time we visit. The secluded beauty is breathtaking, especially the sunsets. To just sit, breathe in the sea air and watch the boats come and go is a pleasure beyond words. Recovering from an illness last year and visiting the islands and towns on the Old Island Highway around this area was just what the Dr. ordered. Nothing is needed but your food. We found Fanny Bay oysters up the road and went every 2 or 3 days for our treat. The house is exactly like the photos and beautifully cleaned. Through the years we have been here in different seasons, Easter, fall and even Christmas one year. We have celebrated birthdays, holidays and family get togethers as well as recommending this heavenly place to others. Our favorite spots have been the islands, Qualicum Beach, Coombs and Bamboozles. We hate to share this little treasure with anyone else but I know that once you've been you will want to go back again and again. We do!

Relax and recharge

Our experience at this property was excellent. The home is well laid out, plenty of bedrooms and space for a family of 4. We appreciated all of the extra touches and conveniences at the home which made staying there for the full 5 days a pleasure. We have 2 young girls and they enjoyed going down to the beach multiple times a day and playing basketball on the paved area at the side of the house. We enjoyed the fact there were multiple board games, puzzles, books and outdoor games (horse shoes, bocce, etc) at the house too. Bowser BC is a short 6-7 min drive away and has a good local grocery store, liquor store and shops. Due to the pandemic, I only ventured out to Bowser once but there’s plenty to see while walking around the area’s non-crowded beaches at low tide. There was always wildlife present around the property - such as bald eagles, harbour seals and sea lions that barked when they swam by us during the day. With my wife and I being quite busy with work lately, we really appreciated the opportunity to sit outside with our blankets, enjoy the view, and relax & recharge at such a welcoming and clean home before getting back to the grind! Joan was always very friendly and responsive to our questions and we look forward to coming back in the future!

Großartiges Ferienhaus

Das Haus war für uns 6 ein wunderbarer Ort, um Urlaub zu machen. Es liegt ideal, um von Campell River bis Nanaimo alles zu erkunden und ist groß genug für 6 Erwachsene. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich und vor allem war es hervorragend ausgestattet. Vom Schälmesser über genug Pfannen, Töpfe, eine Musikbox, Handtücher, vielen Spielen etc. war wirklich alles da. Geweckt wurden wir immer von den Seelöwen, die vorm Garten hin und her schwammen und jeden fast jeden Morgen konnten wir einen Adler im Baum nebenan beobachten. Wir würden diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall sofort wieder buchen.

Great spot for families

We stayed here for over a week with our 5 and 7 yr old kids. It it was a great spot for them as they could play on the beach right in our backyard. There is a sandy beach with morning sun a short walk from the house. We had a small issue with the shower, and Joan was very quick to respond and it was fixed within hours. Definitely recommend this spot.

Our lives away from the Beach house are very active. As Realtors we feel that this property is one of the best ocean front properties on Vancouver Island and spend as much time there as possible. The house is shared and enjoyed by family, extended family and friends and many memories have been made in this home away from home.

Why they chose this property

We wanted a place for our children to spend quality time with their grandparents and cousins and enjoy the magical and mystical Deep Bay Spit. Wildlife and ocean life come alive and many hours are spent boating, beachcombing and swimming.
