5 star stay! Bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious with plenty of storage. There was a folded up twin bed in the master that was perfect for small children. The master closet is very big! Great for a family with children. Would recommend bringing a baby gate for the stairs if you do have smaller children. Overall we loved it! Would definitely stay again.

Cute house! Honestly more than an 11 minute walk to the beach (especially with kids). And we would have loved to be able to use the golf cart without extra fees included. The listing is a bit of a bait and switch when it comes to that amenity- be mindful of the fine print! Otherwise things were fine. Nice quiet community.

we loved this house, very clean. had everything we needed for the house. the ONLY down fall was that the living room was upstairs and we had little kids and I must have missed that in the description but I don’t recall seeing it. otherwise, it was a great place and location of it.

As the listing show LSV golf cart. Golf cart was not part of the price I paid and I was charged for extra per night for my family to enjoy cart. Second day it rained and we didn’t even get to use cart. So I wasted extra money. Will never rent again

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry the golf cart charge and the weather affected your stay. The listing lists the LSV golf cart as an optional add‑on with a per‑night fee; I apologize if that wasn’t clear and for the frustration of paying and not being able to use it. If you’re willing, please message us through Vrbo with your reservation details so we can review the charge and see what we can do. We appreciate you staying with us. -RealJoy

Walk to everything

The house was clean and spacious. Close proximity to the beach and even closer to shops and restaurants cutting down on Ubers. Our only complaint was the beds were terrible quality in all the rooms.

Cleanliness

Overall our stay was not bad, however, the bathroom in the master suite was filthy upon arrival. Especially the shower. I would highly recommend a deep clean for the shower. The vacuum and mop head were filthy as well. Walls need to be washed throughout the place. Whoever they are paying to clean the place after guests, needs to be reconsidered. Bring your own pillows too!

We had a great first trip to Destin and overall really enjoyed our stay. There were several highlights:•Outstanding customer service•Heated pool•Beach gear provided (chairs, wagon, umbrellas, cooler)•Great location near shopping and about a 10-minute walk to the beach•Spacious unit with plenty of room•In-unit laundry and a well-stocked kitchenThere are a few things future renters should be aware of:The main bedroom bed was quite uncomfortable and seemed to be sagging. Management responded quickly and provided a mattress topper, which helped somewhat. There were also several maintenance issues, including a broken couch frame, a non-working Keurig, and some damaged beach items. The unit could use fresh paint, wall repairs, and a deeper clean in some areas. There was also only one extra blanket despite multiple sleeping spaces.Lastly, we had thought the golf cart was included, so the 100/day fee was disappointing.Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would book with Real Joy again—just a different unit next time

Day in the Sun

The condo was overall wonderful! The size was perfect for our needs. The lack of toilet paper for a stay of up to 10 people, lack or towels, and blankets to accommodate such amounts was disappointing. The listing offered the golf cart in the listing without stating a required daily fee! It was very disheartening to know that we had to spend more money even though the listing stated otherwise. Overall the community was great, condo was amazing, but I would encourage the change of the above items. They’re a simple fix to accommodate your guests.

Very disappointed with this stay. Important details were buried in the Vrbo listing fine print and did not match what was communicated in the rental agreement. The property was poorly equipped and lacked basic amenities—honestly, you get more value staying at a hotel. It was clean at least. I specifically asked management if there was a grill and was told there was one on the property. There was not.On the day of checkout, the door code unexpectedly changed and we were locked out. Management said they were unsure how it happened, which was frustrating and unacceptable. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, with mattresses that sank badly. It reached the point where I was better off sleeping on the Floor. Overall, this was not a good experience, and I would not stay here again or recommend this property.

Thank you for your feedback—we’re sorry this stay fell short of expectations. We apologize for the confusion between the listing fine print and your rental agreement and for the missing grill, lack of basic amenities, the unexpected door-code change, and the uncomfortable mattresses. We’ve shared your comments with the owner, our operations, and maintenance teams so they can: - Review and correct the listing and rental documents for accuracy - Verify on-site amenities and update our amenity inventory - Investigate the door-code incident to prevent future lockouts - Inspect mattresses and bed frames and replace or repair as needed We appreciate that the unit was clean and regret that other aspects of the stay did not meet your expectations. If you’re willing, please message us through your Vrbo reservation with any additional details to help our investigation. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
