Lake MI Beach Home with private white sand beach

It is very rare that you can walk down to your own private beach and barely see anyone on the entire beach or in the crystal clear water. Our house is nestled deep within the woods of Coloma, MI and the property includes a gorgeous private Lake MI beachfront. The access road to get to the property is private, scenic, and has beautiful trees and wildlife. We are on 3 acres of forest and dune with decking and stairs (with handrails) that gradually take you down to your own private beach right on Lake MI. The beach on our property has soft white powder sand and the water is see-through to the bottom - even at 50 feet from the shoreline. The waters of Lake MI in front of our house are very shallow, which makes this location ideal for families with young children. VRBO says the beach is a 6 minute walk from the house, but it is actually less than a 1 minute walk down our staircase where you can enjoy the entire day on the beach. Or, you can stay on comfortable furniture on our decks, covered by a cabana, right on the beach. There are no other properties in the area for miles that have decks, a cabana cover, and lounging furniture as close to the water as ours. Our 120 feet of private beach frontage provides the ideal location to set up for the day. We have beach chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards, boogie boards, spike ball, and sand toys all for your private use. The sand and water is so fresh, clear and clean, it feels like you are in the Caribbean or Hawaii. You can spend your vacation wading through the water, taking long beach walks along the shore (you can go for miles these days with the water levels lower), searching for beautiful rocks, building sand castles, or paddle boarding back and forth to the river connected to the Lake just a mile north. When you are done with the beach, we have a full heated shower available to wash off the sand at the entrance stairs to the decks. You can end your days with beautiful Lake MI sunsets and have a fire on the beach to complete your night.

The vacation home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths with large walk in showers and sleeps 8. There is a full kitchen (refrigerator with filtered ice and water, oven, stove, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker and dishwasher), dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and a washing machine and dryer. The house is on city water, has central heating and air conditioning, has Dish TV service in the family room and both queen bed bedrooms, a wood burning fireplace, high speed internet and cell phone coverage. We have sheets, linens, bath towels, beach towels, a hair dryer, an outdoor grill and outdoor refrigerators on the decks. We also have back-up generators that will automatically turn on in case of electrical outages, which can happen quite frequently in our area, but you will never notice with our generators in place. The driveway can fit up to 6 cars. The house is cozy and comfortable, and has books and children’s toys.

Our property is right between downtown St. Joseph and downtown South Haven, both 15 minutes away. Both towns have excellent dining, shops and golf options. There are amazing wineries, public beaches with light houses, children’s museums, splash pads, and huge sand dunes and trails at Warren State Park and many others. We will provide you with a complete rundown of the entire property, how everything works, what is provided at the house to ensure your stay is seamless, along with great places to eat, and fun things to do locally. There is a full Meijer grocery store and more, just 15 minutes north, but also a Dollar General with all necessities, just 5 minutes from the house. There is an excellent Italian restaurant 3 minutes from the house that offers take out that is a guaranteed choice when we visit. Your stay will become unforgettable when you enjoy local cuisine and shopping, you will create memorable experiences when you explore the quaint local towns and all the nature all around you.
