Sugar Beach Resort is a Beach Front Complex. No need to cross any streets to get to the beach! Enjoy the wonderful ocean views and breathtaking sunsets from this 2nd-floor corner unit with central air conditioning. Just 50 steps to the white Sandy Beach known as 'Sugar Beach', snorkeling and swimming await you right in front of our complex! The private lanai is an extension of the living room. The floor to ceiling windows extend the width of the room, overlook the Pool, Jacuzzi, Koi Pond, straight out to the Blue Pacific! Image enjoying your morning coffee watching the humpback whales spouting and coming around! Or enjoy the solitude of the evening as the sounds of waves breaking on the shore transcribe you into a world of tranquility and peace!

We have taken great pride in upgrading our unit. It is tastefully and comfortably furnished in Hawaiian decor, including Flat Screen TV's (in the living room and bedroom). We provide free cable, WiFi and long distance calls to the mainland and Canada. The modern kitchen features granite counter tops and maple cabinets, including a dishwasher, disposal, microwave, and many small appliances. A washer/dryer is located inside the condo for your convenience.

The complex contains an activity center, gift shop, sandwich shop/bar and a massage center. Located in the center of the complex, you are just minutes away from the BBQ grills and all the amenities that the Resort has to offer.

Sugar Beach Resort is located in the middle of the Island, just 10 miles from the Airport, 4 miles to the Maalaea Harbor and the Maui Ocean Aquarium, 7 miles to Wailea and 20 miles to Lahaina. There are many shops, restaurants and activities close by.

Perfect location

Fran's property was extremely close to the beach and had beach views from the dining area and the lanai. The beach was never crowded and the sunsets were spectacular! The place was centrally located for everything we wanted to do. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. This was the perfect place to stay for our first time to Maui!

Amazing Piece of Paradise

My husband and I loved every minute staying here. I think it’s the best location to stay on the island. Close to the airport and centrally located to everything we wanted to see, we won’t hesitate to rent this unit again. The amenities were wonderful and it’s literally a two minute walk to the beach and to the pool! Mahalo!

Wonderful experience

The condo was very clean and well stocked, we will be back to stay. The view and short walk to the beach was a joy to wake up to every morning. Pool and hot tub was close and well maintained to enjoy daily. We stopped in the office and they were very helpful as to the best sites to see and discounts on all our activities. Thanks so much for a long awaited vacation.

Great Place to stay in Maui!

Fran was very helpful! The Condo was well stocked with anything you needed. All we had to do was stock up on food and Drinks. If you didn’t want to cook no need to. Lots of very good eateries close by. I will definitely book this place again😀

A bit dated but impressively clean and efficient.

Not right on the beach but a gorgeous view of the ocean and West Maui mountain. This is a 60's resort but meticulously maintained. The central location makes all of Maui easily accessible. The beach is walkable for several miles in each direction and fairly deserted. Wonderful, quiet, relaxing time.

First trip to Maui

Fran’s property was very lovely!!! We enjoyed the location, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere. We had a wonderful view of the pool area AND the ocean. All the people in the office /rental business were so helpful and sweet. We were amazed each day by the grounds crew….hardworking and meticulous in their jobs!!! The property was pristine!!! Awesome and Amazing - Thanks Fran!

This trip was for our 25th wedding anniversary; so, we spent quite a lot of time researching places to stay on Maui. We are convinced we picked the right spot! Fran was very helpful and accommodating throughout the process. She was prompt and accurate in her replies. The staff was polite and helpful in every way possible. Snorkeling, whale watching, hiking, swimming, sun bathing, walking Ka’anapali and Wailea, and shave ice were some of the highlights! We would highly recommend her and her condominium 212.

Wonderful surprise, ocean view was much better than expected.

We had a late arrival, the lock box worked great. We woke up the next morning to a gorgeous view of the ocean and palm trees from our lanai. There was a packet of Hawaiian coffee for our first pot. The cabinets were well stocked with the basics, salt, pepper, spices, vinegar, etc. Just about any appliance we would ever need. The kitchen was very clean and everything worked. Air conditioning worked great. Bed is very comfortable. Very quiet complex, hot tub is a social gathering place. Sugar beach goes on for miles, canoe club south is a "must do". Kamaole 3 and Makena Beach was excellent snorkeling, 10 minute or so drive.. The owner, Fran was very responsive (wonderful personality). We can't wait to get back.

A Glorious Place to Stay!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your condo! The condo was in excellent condition when we arrived, even better than the photos depict. The location of the condo is awesome.....We just had to walk down one flight of stairs to get to the pool or the beach. Sugar Beach is our favorite beach on the entire island. We have stayed at other locations along Sugar Beach in the past, but now we are totally sold on your condo. In fact, we were scheduled to spend the last two days of our vacation at our friend's home Upcountry, but as we were packing to leave our last morning, we realized we did not want to leave. We called Fran to see if the condo was available for the next two nights and, lucky for us, she said the condo was available!! We were thrilled! The location of Sugar Beach Resort is superb for those who want to explore the island. Very centrally located; it was easy to head to any part of the island or to just run into Kihei for groceries, a good restaurant and shopping. There is a fantastic Farmer's Market very close to the Resort. We bought most of our produce and flowers there. We highly recommend staying in this condo. And I can't say enough about how easy and effortlessly it was to work with Fran throughout the entire process! We Will Be Back!!! Mahalo!

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME

Is what I got to say about Fran’s Condo. This was my first time with VRBO, first time in Hawaii, and first time renting a condo. I searched for days and days on Air B&B and VRBO. I wanted a condo on the BEACH, I wanted to wake up and see the beach each morning not one that I had to walk across the street to get to (which many many were) I also wanted a full kitchen, and washer and dryer in condo. Fran’s has all this, the pictures she posted are right one. It took less then a minute to walk to the beach. The condo was very clean, never seen any kind of bug there. My son got married in Maui so he slept on the hideaway one night and said it was very comfortable. The lawn and pool were loaded with nice lawn chairs I never had to hunt for one. Pool was very clean, we seen guys there washing off lawn chairs and cleaning pool every morning. There is and on site person to book you any activity you want to do on the Island. I highly recommend snorkeling it was a blast plus we saw many whales while heading to sites. We never grilled anything while there but there were 6 nice gas grills and a work station to prepare. I could go on and on, we were just sooo happy, in fact Fran if you every sell please let use know.

Great View and Location

This place is great for the view of the sunset, beach, ocean, and pool. You even have a water feature in front of the lanai. Loved having shade during high heat. It allowed us to be on the lanai longer.

Perfect location to relax

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It's right on the beach and the sunsets are spectacular. We were able to see several whales both from the lanai and from the shore. The property itself is very quiet and clean. The condo had just about everything we needed including beach equipment and towels. We would definitely stay at this property again in the future!

Fran is Great!

Fran was a gracious host and very prompt. Her condo is fantastic! The only downside is the shower toilet area. It is tight and not much room. The view is great, location is fantastic, and the condition of the condo is very nice.

First Class Experience

I would like to say that it was horrible so that no one else would book it for selfish reasons!! However, nothing could be further from the truth. Fran was an excellent host with excellent communications - very fast response to any questions. The Condo was spotless as was the complex and pool area. The Condo was very well decorated and had been updated with granite kitchen work tops. Layout was fantastic. I don't know what other superlatives to use?? We will be back - TERRIFIC experience. Clean attractive place, great location

Fran's place is part of the large Sugar Beach condo complex. It is close to an attractive sandy beach that is lovely to walk on. Waves are small so you can swim and boogie-board but probably not surf. The apartment is clean and nicely furnished. Kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, pots, pans, and dishware, in case you want to do your own cooking. The condo complex has a nice pool and hot tub, as well as a separate Maui Activities Center business that can arrange outings for you and give advice. There is a casual, small, friendly bar/restaurant on the grounds that opens for lunch and dinner, as well as a professional massage office on site. The condo is in a really handy, central location, near highways that take you east, west, or north on Maui. Fran was helpful and responsive during our stay. We really enjoyed our time here.

We have been a visitors to the Maui for the last 25 years. On my second visit to Sugar Beach Resort, I knew that it was time for me to purchase my condominium. As long time residents of Santa Cruz, CA., the ocean and beach have always been a major part of my lifestyle.

Why they chose this property

Sugar Beach Resort has all the amenities I desired; wonderful ocean views, gorgeous sunsets and an extremely long stretch of white sandy beach for
walking, jogging or sun bathing.

Located in the middle of the Island, this central location makes it very easy to branch out to other areas of the Island in very little time. There are many restaurants, activities and shopping near by.

What makes this property unique

I have always considered this my second residence (my home away from home) and opened it up to guests so they in turn could enjoy it as much as I do. Of course, I'm very delighted to share my condominium with my returning and new guests. The awesome views, sounds of the ocean and Aloha spirit of Maui await you!
