The Lampshade House was perfect for our family vacation in LaJolla. The location was ideal for walking to the beach, stores, and restaurants. This place had the best ocean views from many rooms in the house. We loved our stay and look forward to going back.

We loved staying in this apartment while we were in La Jolla. Fabulous views, two outside decks, large kitchen and dining room. We were able to walk to the center of La Jolla and to restaurants. We were not able to get hot water from the kitchen and the hot water is variable for showers. The manager is very responsive.

The location of this VRBO is unbeatable. Located right across the street from the ocean and grassy lawns, it is ideally situated in La Jolla. The amenities within the property are a bit lacking. The refrigerator and microwave were not operational during our stay and one of the two indoor showers did not have hot water. No beach chairs and limited beach towels for a property 50' from the beach was a let down as well. Host did not respond to messages at check in regarding issues. Wish the owners put a bit more effort into this place.

Regarding the refrigerator, microwave, shower, and beach gear, I sincerely wish we had known about these concerns during your stay. We would have been happy to come over right away to resolve the appliance and hot water issues and provide additional beach towels and chairs. We take great pride in our property and are committed to providing a great experience for our guests. Your feedback is appreciated, and we’ve already addressed these items to help ensure future guests have a better experience. Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to let us know where we can improve. Best regards, Simon P.S. Regarding the concerns raised, a fully functional replacement refrigerator was already in place before the guest’s arrival, and two working refrigerators were available during the stay. To provide a permanent solution, we have since purchased and installed a brand-new refrigerator. The property is also equipped with two fully operational microwaves. After the stay, we inspected all showers and confirmed that the hot water was functioning normally.

The beach house was perfect for our trip to La Jolla! The house had every possible thing we needed: extra towels, appliances, serving trays, beach accessories, and space for all! The beds, bedding, and pillows were perfect and we were all very comfortable. The location was amazing.... just steps from the ocean, and a brisk walk to a delicious brunch at The Kitchen at the museum. The host was so gracious, accommodating, and very quick with responding. We will have to stay here again soon.

Beautiful Views

The house was beautiful and clean is very accommodating. There are gorgeous views of the ocean from the back patio and it's only a short walk to the beach. The location is great.
