We had a wonderful stay at Papakea Resort. The condo was incredibly well stocked, with thoughtful touches like pool noodles, games, even putters and balls for the putting green. Mornings on the lanai were a highlight. Sipping coffee while looking out at the ocean was pure magic. The host was responsive and made everything easy. We felt cared for from start to finish. We’d absolutely come back!

Our family really enjoyed our stay and appreciated everything the owner provided and communicated. I didn’t feel like anything was missing or fell short of expectations.The resort also gets kudos for its well-manicured grounds, pools, and beach access, plus it was particularly quiet and peaceful throughout our stay.There is plenty of nearby shopping and dining, including some within walking distance. Overall, I don’t see any reason to stay anywhere else if we come back.

This place was amazing!!! Everything we expected and more! Checked every box we could imagine. Steps from pool and ocean views, excellent locations for walking to food trucks and shops. We loved being on the first level with quick access to pool and beach. We were walking distance to multiply restaurants, grocery store, food trucks, and rental places. Cleanliness could be improved. We found 2 roaches, one in bathroom and one in living room upon arrival. Not enough towels for pool/beach or showering. Slightly unpleasant staff on grounds.

Glad you enjoyed our unit. Pests in tropical areas are always an issue. Papakea sprays regularly and we occasionally do an extra treatment but the critters persist. Sorry about that. As to the towels, I'm checking on that. Our standard is 6 beach towels per unit (you had 5 occupants) and you can always call for more but perhaps I hadn't made that clear enough. Same goes for shower towels plus the in suite washing machine and dryer are there. We hope to have you back. Mahalo.

Perfect for a family

Beautiful views with very easy access into and around the property. Love the close proximity to ABC Store, food truck court, and other restaurants/shopping. In unit laundry was invaluable with two young kids. Beautifully upgraded kitchen with plenty of plates, cups, etc.

Wonderful!

We loved it here! Being ground level was the best! Our 6 & 7 year old could run out and play golf or catch and right off the pool, so super convenient to all the amenities. The sunsets are dreamy and we already miss it. You’ll love it here!

First visit to Maui

This was our first visit to Maui and we are so happy we went with this condo. This property is in a great location; within walking distance of many food options including a food truck lot, restaurants, grocery store, and ABC store. The property is family friendly with a pool, hot tub, yard shuffle board, and short walkway to beach access.The property felt very safe and secure. Having a washer and dryer to do a few loads of laundry during our trip was so convenient. Property also has bbqs.

The condo grounds are beautiful and well cared for! It is in a great location! We had trouble getting the master shower to work. But finally did! The diverter valve was hard to pull out. Other than that everything was great!

Nice Unit at a Good Location

Stayed here for a week with our family of 5. The unit was very comfortable and felt like a second home. The ground floor access was convenient since the pool and ocean were only steps away without needing to take an elevator. The grounds were very well maintained and orderly. We will likely look for the same unit if we return to Maui again. One discrepancy was that the listed resort fee in the description was actually $25/day instead of $17/day.

Great location and nice room

Everything was awesome except for the AC did not work well at all. The room was hotter than outside. I would have given it 5 stars if the AC was cold as Maui was in the high 80s and low 90s when we vacationed.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful stay. The property was clean and comfortable. There was snorkel gear and beach chairs, which was super helpful. Loved the location. Walking distance to stores. The only downside to the property was that although the ocean was a couple hundred yards away from the condo, the beach was non-existent. In order to get good beach access, we needed to walk to the adjacent property. It wasn't horrible, but I little bit of a bummer.

Happy 20th Anniversary

My husband and I and our best friends both celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this month in Maui. We have stayed at the Papakea in other units before but this is the NICEST one! Love the kitchen cabinets and bathroom tile! Nicely kept, very clean and well-stocked for fun! Plenty of boogie boards and many cooler choices! We appreciate that there was a small stock of spices and a few basics in the kitchen. We did a lot of our cooking each day in the condo after our Costco stop. If you are looking for a nice condo... this is it!

Great condo and property

What an amazing trip to Maui! Our home base was our condo in the Papakea condo complex. We had a lower level condo w/ ocean views. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and stocked with anything you might need, including curling irons. LOL! The kitchen was also fully stocked with all the appliances for cooking/grilling. Never thought I would care to have a washer/dryer for clothes, but what a great convenience it ended up being. Wifi was strong and easy to access. The pool was a few steps from our lanai. Same with the beach. The location of this condo was an easy walk to an ABC store, food trucks, grocery stores, and coffee in the morning. We will be coming back and requesting this exact condo.

Cozy Condo

This was a nice ground level condo, plenty of room for a family of 4. The grounds were well kept and quite. The condo itself was well equipped with everything we needed, however I would recommend an upgrade on the pots and pans. The condo is located near a elevator which was hard for the light sleeper (me), however I guess if your close the shutters the noise may not be as noticeable, but we enjoyed the breeze over using the AC. All of our issues we had with the condo was taken care of quickly, management was very attentive. Beautiful ocean view at the sea wall and enjoyed eating breakfast on the lanai.
