The house was cute, inside and out. It was clean and they used nice sheets and towels. It was well-appointed, and the couch and beds were very comfortable. We cooked a meal in the kitchen, and found everything available we needed. The central air was great. The appliances are all new, and the bathroom is small but adequate and has a rain shower head as well as a handheld shower. The bedrooms and living area have drapes, the bedrooms had little fans pointed toward the beds that kept everything cool while adding some white noise. There were three fire tv's in the house and you could log into your own streaming services. It is near anything you need to get to, we were visiting our granddaughter from ETSU and it was very close. Also, to restaurants and grocery stores. My husband and I are older so our only issue was the stairs for both entrances were a bit steep for us, but it clearly shows them in the pictures of the house so that wasn't a hidden fact at all on the homeowner's side. I think if you have no mobility issues it would be a breeze. We communicated with the owner on one issue and found him to be quick in his response. Overall, we were comfortable in this cute cottage and thought being in a home that was 100 years old was delightful. There is a train that runs nearby a few times a day or night but it wasn't a disturbance and you can hear some noise from the nearby main street, neither should be a dealbreaker for staying there. We had a nice stay.
