About this property
Comfortable, Charming Home Near Outdoor Adventure. Pet Friendly!
Close to all the outdoor adventures your heart desires, this welcoming Bingham home is the perfect escape. The 4-bedroom, 1-bathroom vacation rental home boasts ample space for you and your crew, plus all the essential amenities. Enjoy Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen for your convenience. In the winter months, take advantage of nearby snowmobile trails or ski areas, and in the summertime, bring your ATVs and UTVs, golf, or whitewater raft nearby. Your adventure is just a click away!
The Space:
The house is a renovated New England-style farmhouse built in 1892.
A small side deck with a grille connects to a prominent three-season farmer's porch. The door on the farmer's porch is the main guest entrance, and it has a smart lock for self-check-in.
The kitchen has all the essential cooking supplies and a complimentary coffee station. There is a full-size fridge, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Guest cleaning supplies, a folding ironing board, and an iron are in the kitchen.
The bathroom has a tub/shower combo; towels, washcloths, and essential bath supplies are provided.
There are sizeable portable AC units upstairs and downstairs. All four bedrooms have queen beds with clean linens and racks to lay out luggage and hang clothing.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the driveway, which has plenty of parking space. The slideshow includes photos of the recommended parking patterns. The garage houses the owners' tools and workshop and is unavailable to guests. In the house, guests have access to the entire main house except for the basement and housekeeping closet.
The Neighborhood:
The home is in a residential neighborhood that mixes year-round homes and seasonal occupancies. The neighbors are amiable and welcoming to guests and pets.
Getting Around:
The neighborhood is excellent for an evening stroll, but groceries and gas are a short (1-mile) drive away.
Other Things to Note:
There is room for trailer parking on the property. Guests with snowmobiles, ATVs, or UTVs can ride from the property. The trailhead for Maine ITS 87 is approximately 200 yards/180 meters down the road.
Pets are allowed at the property. A bin on the three-season Farmer's porch contains food bowls, a furniture cover, towels for wiping off paws, and a pet bed. Please pick up after your pets.
Interaction with Guests:
I can usually respond within an hour, and someone local is on call for emergencies.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. We're new to hosting and need queries and feedback to help set up my listing correctly.
My wife, Maureen, and I are on a fantastic journey raising our three daughters in Maine. For most of their lives, we owned and operated a whitewater rafting company called "Penobscot Adventures" in Millinocket, Maine, and I taught school in the winter. After we sold the rafting company, the kids were all in school, and Maureen also returned to school for her Master's in School Counseling and Human Relations. I took a teaching job at Kents Hill School, and we moved the family there during the school year. Last year we decided to start renting our house. I refurbished the entire main house, and here we are. We ski, bike, and kayak. We're just beginning on Vrbo and hope to share some of our adventures with you and your family and friends.
