About this property
Peakside Retreat with Chefs Kitchen, Theater, Game, Kids Rooms by Design
Chefs kitchen with Wolf appliances, Sub-Zero fridge & pot filler.
Over 3000 SQ ft, theater Room, air hockey table and master bathrooms to die for.
3 bedrooms upstairs, one downstairs, large 3 car garage, covered decks, large yard, beautiful laundry room. The kids beds are 2 comfy twin beds in a fishing-themed room. There is a full mattress airbed you can blow up for use in the kids room, as well there are toys in the closet.
The kitchen bar seats 3 more & we have a bench for additional seating.
The modern, quiet house is in a very private setting for outdoor fun as well. There is a large gas grill on the covered back porch. After grilling, the theater seats 5 comfortably, for winding down the day.
Great base to visit Denali.
Hatcher Pass has some great trails along with visiting Historical Independence Mine.
In Palmer, the butte is a great short hike. There is a steep side and a more family friendly side but it offers a great view of the Palmer area. Hiking either side will bring you to the same area at the top.
I’d recommend the Matanuska Glacier but if you were to go to Seward they also have an excellent hike (Exit Glacier) that is not too difficult and you will be able to see part of the the glacier from there. You are able to hike on the Matanuska Glacier - MICA or NOVA can offer a great guided tour experience to walk on it.
If you head out to Seward, there is the Wildlife Conservation Center the Anchorage side.
The drive to Denali is about 3.5 hours there, 3.5 hours back. Talkeetna offers tours that will fly you through Denali National Park (Talkeenta Air Taxi) and some excursions may land on the glacier. Talkeetna is only about and hour and half away from Wasilla.
Talkeetna also has boating excursions. This house offers great access to Talkeetna- it really offers a lot of things in the summer!
Alaska Backcountry Adventure Tour offers a wide variety of ATV tours based in Palmer. I've heard nothing but great things about them.
