About the host
Hosted by Maribeth & Kent Ellis

Kent and I bought this property almost 20 years ago. We knew that some day we would make this beautiful spot our full time home. 8 years ago, we made the move. For me it was coming home- I was born/raised in Columbia Falls. Kent family also had homesteading roots in Montana, though he is a Colorado native. We have short beautiful summers when we do our best to soak in all the activities and events in we can. We love rodeos (watching!) kayaking, hiking, fishing, our dogs and working around the property. Fall is likely our favorite season, warm days and snappy evenings!
Winter - a fact of life here and it is long, so best to embrace it! We dust off the snowshoes, Altai Hoks ( cross between snowshoes and XC skis) downhill skis and the snow blower! The cabin is generally not available during winter months.
