About this property

Modern Home with Panoramic Views, Community Beach/Pool & Mid Island Location!

Admiral’s Seaglass Sanctuary is located in the center of the island so you can enjoy all Whidbey has to offer. Perfectly located for walk on ferry enthusiasts to Port Townsend, hikers, cyclists, historians, and those who enjoy bird watching or sea life. This back-beach house was designed to maximize the views of Puget Sound, so the living and bedroom areas are in the upper levels. Every one of the 3 bedrooms has it’s own unique views, and there are 2.5 baths. Seaglass offers tranquility in a revised vibe. You have access to a private neighborhood pool, a long walking beach surrounded by wildlife, sights of all types of ships in the Sound, Bald Eagles, The Cascade Mountains, Otters, and whales are known to come visit. ALL seen from just inside the home without binoculars. You are close to Fort Casey (perfect for a picnic and kite flying), and Ebey’s point. If you aren’t tired from exploring all of that, you can finish your evening in any of our wonderful towns. You can wake up in the morning enjoying the pond from the screened in porch or finish your evening enjoying an onsite fire pit. Endless options!!
Whidbey Island is also home of the Naval Air Station and you see military aircraft flying at low elevation. Occasionally on the weekdays (no weekends!), the Navy conducts jet training exercises and posts the training schedule in advance at cnic.navy.mil. Look for the Outlying Landing Field (OLF) in Coupeville. Our kids love seeing the planes up close as they fly overhead, however the jet noise will be loud. During these training times we recommend checking out the boundless adventures on the island or take a day trip to Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula by utilizing the ferry the just down the road. If you are at the house enjoying the sights we recommend utilizing the provided ear plugs or use the noise cancelling headphones while at the house

Seaglass awaits your visit! We are here to help with any questions or recommendations.

My Sisters and I stayed for an extended weekend and truly loved the location. The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable in a quiet area close to the ferry. We would recommend staying here to explore all of the island.

A nice and clean upgraded home near a lake and bay. Nice kitchen and great room. Bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy. Several nights were interrupted by naval jet training (very loud), but we adapted.

Milestone Birthday Celebration

This beautiful home exceeded our expectations. It was immaculate, was well stocked (including the kitchen), provided beautiful views and was located in a gorgeous quiet area steps from the Sound. We saw eagles, heron, deer, rabbits and all kinds of birds. We spent our mornings in the screened in porch watching and listening to creatures waking up. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The host was responsive and helpful. If I could give 10 stars, i would.

Great house, great location

Birds, dolphins and Navy jets, without even leaving the house! Very central location and easy to get to everything on the island. House was in great condition, as all seemed relatively new. Was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities you could want. A lot of nice touches, even a couple of bikes to use. Had one issue with the battery on the door lock, but the owner handled immediately. Community pool closed after Labor Day, so please keep that in mind. A couple of folding beach chairs would have been useful too. Highly recommend.

Great Place!!

This beach house is great! Well stocked, lots of extras. From a lovely welcome basket which had all we needed for a simple dinner (including wine) to a pancake breakfast for our first morning. Kites, a beach wagon. Dog bowls & blankets were already set out. Bathrooms & bedrooms wonderful & nicely stocked too. There are lots of areas for gathering with friends/family. Dining area, massive couch for lounging & screened in outside deck. Wonderful location & great outside area with fire pit & wood. The bicycles were a really nice touch too. Amy was super responsive & communicated well via message & email. Check in couldn’t have been easier. Great people to rent from & great vacation house to stay in. We loved it!

Very Clean and Comfortable Home with Community Pool

My family had a very relaxing and comfortable stay at this home. It is a very clean space with a great open kitchen/dining/living room layout. There were many amenities in the kitchen that we appreciated for our cooking. They even have sharp cooking knives. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had great water pressure. The host reminded me about the community pool ahead of our stay, and we spent some really fun hours there. We visited the beach, which can be accessed on either end of Keystone Road. We swam in the ocean a bit, but I would bring water shoes next time as it is quite rocky. Every person we encountered in the Admiral's Cove community was so friendly and kind. From the house you can see beautiful views of the lagoon and the bay. The back porch on the second level is completely enclosed with screened windows, which we thought was so pleasant. There were only two things I would suggest after having stayed here, and that is more hooks for hanging towels in the primary bathroom and more beach towels for guest use. We appreciated the two beach towels that were provided and made due with those among the six of us. The host was responsive and helpful, even offering to send a stuffed animal to our home that we accidentally left behind. I highly recommend this home!

Well Appointed Whidbey Island Gem

This house was fantastic, even better than pictures could show. Communications with the manager were excellent. The house is very well appointed, had everything we needed and even games and beach gear! Looking forward to visiting again.

Best Rental Ever

I absolutely loved my stay at Amy's place. It was super clean, centrally located, and the house was well stocked with any household item you might need. The view from every window was beautiful. Amy was such a great host offering suggestions for things to do around the island. I took as many of her suggestions as I had time for and none of them disappointed. Another great point about the location of the house was that on either end of the road about a 10 minute walk in either direction was public access to the beach that was never crowded. If you are traveling with a dog like I did the house also had all the things your pet could need including bowls, blankets, beds, and even poop bags. If you are thinking of a trip to Whidbey I highly recommend Amy's place, you won't be disappointed!

About the host

I love the Ocean and Mountains. Every year living here in the Pacific Northwest, I would always look forward to going on day trips, especially if we took a ferry. It feels like you are going somewhere far away. My husband, children, and dogs love hunting for the best rocks on the beach. Life can be very chaotic, we have been trying to enjoy the little things in life.

Why they chose this property

Our family always found ourselves taking annually day trips to Whidbey Island whether it was to go to the dog friendly beaches, the fun towns, scenic drive, or deception pass. When the opportunity presented itself, we looked for a while for the location that worked for us. Then Admiral Seaglass Sanctuary happened. Ironically, I saw the house before it went on the market from the road, and admired its Majestic Presence. .

When Seaglass went on the market, it felt like destiny. We consider ourselves lucky to have a place in the wonderful community of Admiral Cove. In the location we desired, near the Townsend Ferry, Fort Casey, the great town of Coupeville. I love Langley, but Coupeville has fun things to offer. My husband loves his long bike rides all around the island. I love exploring secret shopping finds. I will drive to the Spoiled Dog to get a great bottle of wine, and also head North towards Oak Harbor a few minutes to shop at Three Sister's Market to get some great goodies (pies, meat, and even decor). Every time we pay a visit to Seaglass, we say hello to our local Bald Eagles. They won't hide for long.
