This property is meticulously maintained and what a perfect spot to stay after a 700 mile motorcycle ride. The goats and chickens were beautiful! And the 2 super friendly dogs were there to say goodbye as we were leaving! I just can't say enough how perfect the place was.
We enjoyed our stay in Leah’s cabin. Very family friendly and we enjoyed the farm animals and walking around on the small farm. Everything was well stocked and clean!
Our family was in VT for my nephew’s wedding. Leah’s place was beautiful and spotless. The view was amazing. The first thing my daughter did was run out back so see the goats who were adorable. There was a bowl of fresh eggs on the kitchen island as well as some fresh homemade treats which were delicious and inhaled upon arrival! Downtown was not far, and we fell in love with a cafe there. Several other small restaurants we would have tried for sure if we had the time. The only thing that was an issue was the stairs. Very narrow and “older” stairs to get up to the apartment, and 2 of us tripped going up one of the stairs at the bottom as it was a different size than the others. Would highly recommend if you are someone who easily has the ability to go up a flight of stairs. Thank you Leah!
We spent a wonderful fall weekend. It was the middle of a three week, four state trip, and so it was perfect for what we wanted. A place to kick back, chill, do laundry, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
We enjoyed staying their. It was so pretty and comfy, we had an amazing view. The aniamls were so cute we would love to come again.

The place is listed as entire house but it’s a second floor 2 bedroom apartment. Was very clean and quiet. Check in and check information on the listing only gave check out information. I reached out via message and had no response until after we had been in. We had to figure out where to enter after look in the lower floor door it was occupied but no one was home. Also listing lists as pet friendly but rule book in the place said no pets. From other reviews it has had pets. Just confusing information. All in all it was fine and we only were staying one night But would recommend changing the rule book and put in check in information on the listing. We would go back but first time was a little confusing

Hi Merle,
Thank you for your review! Typically VRBO sends over checking info for guests and I do believe I sent you the check in instructions before 4:00! We have changed the rules about pets, thank you for mentioning that I absolutely need to update the listing and guest book! Hope to have you back again!
Thanks so much,
Leah

Comfortable and clean away from the hustle and bustle of touristy areas. Beautiful view. Washer and dryer were a great amenity to catch up from a weeks worth of travel. Farm fresh eggs, and tasty pumpkin bread for breakfast.

The rental was the upper of two levels, and was clean and welcoming. Leah was very nice at check-in. She has a flair for decoration, and she left some treats of pumpkin bread and maple candy. I enjoyed my stay very much!
My two kids and I absolutely adored staying in this adorable, comfortable 2 bed place. Cam equipped with all neccessaties! Cooking equipment, coffee machine! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We will be coming back!!!!
My husband and I stayed four nights at Leah’s place. She and her husband were absolutely wonderful hosts. Very, very nice people. :) Great location if you want something quiet with beautiful view over the mountain. it’s very close to Island Pond and also to Silvio Conte wildlife refuge. If we go back to Vermont, we will definitely stay there again. Thank you so much, Leah. We had a wonderful time!
Our stay was fantastic! The cabin is part of a small farm. We had a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains from the cabin. The cabin (second floor of a larger barn) was larger than expected and with a great kitchen. The wifi connection worked great, but the mobile phone reception was not, which was fine for us. The host was very welcoming and the stay included eggs from the farm from the hens that walked around the yard. There is a farm stand at the first floor of the cabin were the host sold delicious farm-made products such as eggs, sourdough bread, and jellies. Our kids had a great time playing at the farm, and feeding and looking at the animals. The cabin is just a few minutes drive from the town of Island pond, VT that has good services. We would love to come here again!
The host was super friendly and responsive. She even made fresh dog treats for our buddy! The only reason this stay was not a 5 was TOTALLY MY FAULT and had nothing to do with the owners or property. Unfortunately I did not research which trails and activities in the area were dog friendly and i did not ask about the entry to the home. Our dog is old and struggled going up and down the outdoor stairs. Knowing he struggles at times i should have been more proactive in my research and questions. The property is adorable with a lovely little store of all local handmade products and the chickens and goats were awesome! I would recommend to anyone who loves animals and quiet settings with beautiful views and no mobility issues!
We loved staying at Leah’s cabin. The
location is great and very scenic. The cabin is very cozy and has a wonderful view. We really enjoyed the goats and the chickens. Those were the biggest chickens I have ever seen, I think. We also got to taste the eggs. Thank you, Leah!
This was a lovely apartment with a view of the hills and forest in the distance. The chickens and goats were good company in the yard! Leah and her husband are wonderful hosts. The apartment is well furnished, clean, with all conveniences you need. Close to the village at Island Pond but feels remote and quiet. I would definitely recommend Mountain View Farm to anyone traveling to the area.
