Great, quick communication with host, fabulous oceanfront location with beautiful view. It was clean well-cared for. We were very pleased. We had perfect weather the entire week so we spent a lot of time outside. The internal living, dining and kitchen spaces would have been very cramped if we all ( 3 couples and 2 small children plus 2 dogs with crates) had to be inside for extended periods, though part of the deck is covered. That being said, we had a terrific stay.

Beach Love

Lovely home on the Beach that included all the necessities of home. The house was very clean and neat with up to date appliances. Pool was great for the kids! Short distance to beach made it a breeze to carry all the beach gear. Would highly recommend!

It was a nice place and beautiful location, but it could have been cleaner. The laundry facility was musty and difficult to use(unless you are tall). Wonderful pool toys, but the beach umbrellas and chairs are old and need replaced. Overall, a nice place to stay.

We had a great trip. Our group included my 60 year old mom, 40 year old brother and brother in law and my seven year old son and 40 year old husband. The location was perfect. The size of the house was perfect for our family. The beach toys and chairs were appreciated and used a ton. We also used the pool daily. This is our second time staying at this house and I think we loved it even more this time! Thanks for everything!!

The views and the walk to the beach was great! Stayed for a whole week with my family and it couldn’t have been better. The kids loved the pool and running back and forth from the beach to the house! Great location.

Rented for a week. Given wrong code to enter. Had to call, no voicemail. They text a new code. Need hand rails in showers! Upstairs bath needs skid strips. Was very easy to slip and have nothing to grab. Could use blinds in Living Room when sun is full. TV screen was hard to see from sun. No screen on Master Bdrm. Sliding door. Missing many screens. Like to hear the ocean and feel the breeze. Windows were Horrific! We bought window cleaner and cleaned them. We had to buy dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper that didn't fall apart, it was sooo thin. Only one kitchen towel, No kitchen wash cloths. Had to clean the Grill before use. Not propane, had to buy charcoal. Fly-knat problem.

Family Vacation at Sea and Believe

Our family of 10 (Grandparents, parents, grandchildren) stayed at Sea and Believe for the first week of August. It was everything we could have wished for in a family vacation: cooking great meals in the kitchen, long walks on the beach, playing in the ocean and the pool which was a special bonus and got lots of use. It was so convenient to have the beach chairs and boogie boards available and floats for the pool. The outdoor shower with warm water was a big hit with everyone. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. We had four rainy mornings. The children really appreciated the games that were there then. We made our reservations late in the year and were lucky to find this house. If we could coordinate all our busy schedules once more, we would definitely stay there again. It was our first trip to Oak Island and we are happy to havre found it.

Beach location was amazing - quiet residential west end where I could walk to the Point each morning for shelling. Pool is small but still great for the kids to have fun when they can’t be watched at the beach. Loved the covered deck to sit out of the sun and see and hear the beach. Two amenities need improvement: 1) there’s a retractable gate to block off the deck from the walkway, but you have to use bungee cords to hold it in place so it’s not convenient for coming and going and isn’t likely to hold up against a dog or toddler that wants to get out. 2) the beach umbrellas weren’t really usable — lots of wear and tear and they wouldn’t stay up with the winds. Otherwise, the house was as advertised. Check-in and check-out were easy, beds were comfortable.

We had a great week with family. My only complaint was that for a house that is made for 11 people the kitchen and the refrigerator are WAY TOO SMALL....only about 1 person can comfortably be in that kitchen at one time - and if you're trying to cook/feed 11 people it becomes overwhelming in a kitchen that size. It would have been nice to also have a larger sitting area - and SOMEWHERE else to go (besides a bedroom) to get away and have some quiet time. The house was very clean and as advertised (I guess really good photography made things look a little bigger to me). The host were very responsive - for example - the description said the property had a crock pot and we looked over the entire kitchen - couldn't find one - messaged host and within an hour a crock pot arrived!! The location of the house couldn't be beat - oceanfront with a pool was beautiful! Like I said - we had a good week! I was just surprised at the size of kitchen and family room to host that many people! If you book - just be mindful. But all in all a wonderful week full of memories and fun - would definitely rent the house again with FEWER PEOPLE :-) The back porch was where we spent most of our time - watched many evening storms and shared many stories!

Just returned from a wonderful week at Sea & Believe! Loved that it was steps from the ocean! My boys were able to go from the pool to the ocean whenever they chose to! Only downfall was the washer/dryer is down in the basement and the steps were pretty steep! Overall we loved the property!
