LOCATION:
The historic stone house in MONTEDIVALLI-SERRA is located above an olive grove where wine is grown. A small dreamy place with an impressive view. It is an extremely fertile area where just about everything grows and thrives, a paradise for herbalists. Montedivalli is located in the region of Lunigiana or in the Ligurian-Tuscan border area. The beaches of Liguria as well as those of Tuscany and the famous hiking trails and picturesque villages of the Cinque Terre are very easy to reach from here. The sea is about 15 km. In Montedivalli there is no rush in midsummer. From March to December, Montedivalli is definitely a worthwhile destination. The area is particularly good for hiking, mountain biking, boating and swimming in the sea or in one of the clear rivers. Other sports are canoeing, horseback riding, climbing or surfing.
The Lunigiana is a very good starting point for many popular destinations and has something for everyone. Explore the region with its castles, monasteries and medieval mountain villages. Visit attractions such as the Grotto of Equi or the Medievalis (Medieval Festival) of Villafranca. Wander through the valleys of Zerri and the Cinque Terre, immerse yourself in the typical atmosphere of the weekly markets and village festivals (Le Sagre) of the region or simply explore the eclectic sea and mountain landscapes. Enrich your holiday with a visit to the nearby marble quarries in Massa Carrara. But the Tyrrhenian coast also attracts with its bathing activities and invites to day trips to Sarzana, the Golfo dei Poeti, Viareggio or Forte dei Marmi. And those who enjoy collecting mushrooms and chestnuts are in the right place at Lunigiana in autumn. Also the anglers do not come too short with us. The clear, beautiful river Vara is not far from the house.
