Why they chose this property
Firstly, I hope you have a wonderful stay and that you love Warkworth and Beatrice Cottage as much as I do.
I grew up in Warkworth with my siblings and love the village. When I bought Beatrice Cottage in 2016, it had been a long term let and needed modernisation, with a lot of DIY jobs being left unfinished. I had never ventured down the pedestrian archway leading to the courtyard gardens and to Beatrice Cottage, despite walking along the river thousands of times growing up in the village. When I came for to view the cottage, even after seeing the magnificent Castle everyday, I was still delighted by the view of the castle from the upstairs front windows.
Despite needing a lot of work, I fell in love with the cottage as soon as I walked in the door. Purchased in 2016 the cottage underwent major renovations which included a second storey extension, new bathrooms and kitchen. First welcoming guests in April 2018. Since then there has been various upgrades and changes in the interior design. New to Vrbo but not to hosting visitors. Beatrice Cottage is a perfect home from home and a gorgeous comfortable base for your holiday in beautiful Northumberland.
I really hope you love your Beatrice Cottage as much as we do and have a fabulous holiday here in beautiful Warkworth.

What makes this property unique
The location of Beatrice cottage is idyllic, one of four traditional Northumbrian cottages set in a quiet courtyard garden, with castle views and just 100 yards from the banks of the River Coquet. The cottage is perfectly located with numerous fabulous local walks on your doorstep. Just 5-10 minutes walk from the gorgeous golden sands of Warkworth Beach and a short stroll away from the village centre with its shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. There is so much do see and do locally you'll be spoilt for choice! And if you just want to stay in and relax the log burning stove and deep soak bathtub are the perfect accompaniments to a cosy night in!
