Perfect beach location!

This is our second stay in Laurie's condo. The location is perfect with an easy walk to the beach. The condo was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. Communicating with Laurie was flawless with fast responses to any questions. We would highly recommend staying at this condo.

Beautiful Condo!

We loved this condo!! It's a short walk to the beach and the condo was clean and well maintained. The cart, chairs, games, etc. were a plus - my husband loved having a cart to take the chairs down to the beach! Other family members staying at Shipwatch Pointe were envious. It was nice to have paper products in the condo upon arrival. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. Laurie responded to emails promptly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend booking from her. We enjoyed our time at her condo so much we are booked for next year already!!

Great Location!

Condo is close to beach and other amenities that we found very convenient: restaurant, general store, ice cream store. Pool was nice and very clean - almost too clean as my little one could not handle the chlorine in it. Condo itself was nice. Items like paper towels and toilet paper were left behind by previous renter and that was nice to have it available when we arrived. Kitchen is well stocked and there is large dining room table that was nice for our group of 5. Balcony area was large and the closet had lots of beach stuff for the kiddos to play with. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Great stay

This little gem was a perfect for us. It had plenty of space for 4 adults, a well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture and beds, and a great location. The first floor location was a plus, and it was a short walk to the beach. The owner responded very quickly to any questions . We would definitely return.

Snowbird get away

Experience

The property was located at a good place and if your health is good the walk is not to bad but if you are like me and have a hard time walking the only way to get to the beach was by car and sometimes you could not find a parking place. I loved the condo - it was very clean - Enjoyed my visit very much and the only thing I wasn't pleased with was the fact that I had to make up my own bed and this is hard for me because I have recently had a broken shoulder and I am 86 years old and it took a long time to get it done and then to have to take the sheets off the bed again. Also, if I had not been on the first floor I couldn't have stayed because there is no elevator and I could not have walked up that many steps even one time but to have to do it every time you left I could not have handled. Overall - Everything was nice and I would recommend it to my friends and I enjoyed my stay. Would possibly stay there again if I was going to the beach.

Wonderful!

My family stayed here last week. The condo is exactly as described and was very clean. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach. My kids loved the sand toys and boogie boards available to use. The host was excellent with communication and check in was super easy. Highly recommend!

Wonderful beach vacation

Laurie’s condo is lovely! Very convenient to everything in the area. We have stayed here several years now and enjoy it each time. The kitchen is well stocked for all your needs. There are beach items available to use during your stay, also. Laurie answers question quickly and is very accommodating. We would highly recommend renting from her.

Fantastic Time Had By All

The property was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The outdoor storage closet was accessible to us and in it were beach chairs, boogie boards and a beach cart. The beach cart was so useful! The grounds of Shipwatch are well maintained. We used the outdoor grills every day. We will definitely be returning.

Worst experience at Ship Watch in 10 years

Our family has stayed at Ship Watch for the last 10 years at various units and love the area. We walked into this unit to find an outdated space in disrepair. There was built-up grime on the ceiling and fixtures. Mold was growing throughout the washing machine. We considered trying to clean ourselves since there were no vacancies close by until I turned back the cover to make my son's bed and found blood. At that point, we left immediately without having found another place. Unfortunately, the owner saw it fair to issue only a partial refund even though we were only there an hour.

I have owned a condo at Shipwatch Pointe since 2004. I have never ever had a guest complain about the cleanliness of my unit. As you can see I have a 4.9% out of 5 star rating. In addition, the unit is far from OUTDATED. The dining table, a high top is a few years old. The master bedroom furniture is two years old. The couch is three years old. The wood floors and carpet are about 4 years old. There was some dust by the air vents on the ceiling and there were some small black marks on the washing machine detergent dispenser. There was not mold growing though out as the renter says. I immediately offered to refund the renter all the money that VRBO paid me minus the cleaning fee. I did exactly that. I did not keep a dime other than the cleaning fee. Even though she said she was only there for an hour I had to pay the cleaning service the fee to clean. I have no way of knowing if they used the bathrooms, hand towels, etc. In addition I called VRBO and they said I did not have to refund the rental fee - that is only required if her complaints could not be corrected by having the cleaner return to fix what she deemed as an issue. I decided not to go that route and refunded her all the money I was paid. VRBO still kept their fees - this is out of my control.

Awesome time

My family and I stayed five nights at property and had the best time. It was perfect for our family getaway and so close and convenient to the beach and everything around. There was absolutely everything that we needed in the condo including toys for my grandson to play with a wagon to carry our stuff to the beach and plenty of room for the six of us. This condo is very spacious so there was plenty of room for all of us without getting in anyone's way. And with the full kitchen we were able to cook all of our meals at the condo except for one night that we went out to eat otherwise we utilized everything, and it was great to have a washer and dryer right there to wash all of our beach stuff each night. When we go back to Myrtle Beach we will definitely see if this condo is available. It's so close to the gas barbecue grills and the pool in my family just had an absolute wonderful time Thank you.
