About this property

Hillside Deck Tent Camping on private wooded property.

Inexpensive accommodations in the Black Mountain area. Relax in a large tent equipped with a new cot and air mattress. Located on our wooden Hillside Deck. Small enclosed bathroom in a tent nearby and a full bathroom with shower available just 300 ft. away in our "bathhouse."

We are offering our Hillside Deck for only $53 per night (one tent, 2 adults). Enjoy easy and clean tent camping in the woods on our 5 acre property. Depending on the time of year the Hillside Deck enjoys a view of the 900 foot creek that meanders along the length of the property. Your accommodations are set up on a sturdy smooth, level, elevated deck. This site offers private isolation surrounded by trees and away from other campers yet close enough to conveniences of a more expensive campground. This is private property and not a commercial campground. The Hillside Deck is situated 300 feet from a fire pit, picnic table, bathroom/shower and limited kitchen. We also have a Berkey water filter so you can fill up with potable water. One parking space next to the Sky Deck can accommodate a small vehicle, 4WD recommended after heavy rains. A larger vehicle may park at the resident camper's parking area.

We love dogs. One well-behaved dog is welcome but it must get along with other dogs. We have a large, sweet, playful male that often romps unleashed. His job is to protect the property and keep away unwanted wild animals. Your dog is welcome to be off leash to play and explore under your supervision.

200 feet up the trail from your site is the summit of our property. You may get cell service for AT&T, US Cellular, Xfinity and probably others but not T-Mobile.

You may gather kindling and free wood from the surrounding area to burn in the fire pit.

Check in is after 2:00pm and before twilight.

Great camping spot
Perfect and reasonably priced place to camp while enjoying black mountain hiking trails. Friendly host and felt safer being off the ground while camping.

Recently retired from Sarasota, Florida and enjoying motorcycling on the winding roads surrounding our 5 acre property.

Why they chose this property

Paved roads all the way to the top of our gravel driveway. Wooded private property with a beautiful creek meandering the 900 foot length of our land.
