Stay in New Smyrna beach at the 'Lazy Pelican' just 2 blocks from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants on famous Flagler Avenue. Only 1 hour to the Orlando Disney, Universal and Sea World attractions. 20 minutes from the attractions in Daytona Beach.High-speed Internet, digital cable (249 channels) and nationwide long distance now included. I now accept credit cards and e-check for payments. New stainless dishwasher, wall oven, microwave and glass cook-top. Recently upgraded granite counter-tops in kitchen. **NEW POOL INSTALLED with solar heat. Newly renovated pool bathroom . As is typical with hotels,resorts and vacation rentals ALL exterior sides of this property has security cameras monitoring and recording for security, safety and compliance. This is a golf cart friendly city. While there maybe one at the house, insurance prevents me from renting it. There are golf cart rental companies local. All upgrades completed 8/1/2025. Cannot rent for less than 30 days.

A welcoming, old-school Florida home just blocks from the beach and Flagler Ave. Perfect location in quiet, well-kept neighborhood. Pool and large backyard are bonus . Rick was quick to respond and very helpful.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Lazy Pelican. This house has everything you need and more! We loved the pool, especially at night with the beautiful lights. The close proximity to the beach and Flagler was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Pelican Perfection!

To start, the location was perfect! So close to the beach and Flagler Ave. The home was comfortable and perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your meals if you choose to. The best part was the awesome pool and fenced backyard for our dog to stretch her legs. Whenever we had a question, the owner was quick to respond. We hope to come back soon!

Only thing nice about this place is the pool but the multiple cameras make it uncomfortable to enjoy. Outdoor seating is weird and doesn’t make sense and several chairs are broken. Not having control over the hot tub jets and temp was strange bc you had to contact the host and then wait. This house does not include a golf cart although one is there, you are not allowed to drive it. If you have dust, pet allergies, or sensitive to stinky smells, don’t even step foot inside this house. Dated, dirty, and dusty. No fan in the bathroom. Bedroom fans covered in layers of dust. Crud in silverware drawer and nasty balls of pet hair and dust bunnies everywhere. No ice maker or filtered water in fridge. Ended up leaving this house early and moving to a hotel bc of allergies and sickness from the disgusting dirt, dust, and pet dander. Also this just seemed like someone’s grandma’s house.. personal photos and so much STUFF that no one else wants to look at!!In fairness, Host did provide a minimal partial refund.

Very nice house in a great location

Loved our stay at the lazy pelican! Very short walk to Beach and all our favorite places on Flagler Ave. Flagler Tavern,Breakers, Clancy's and Treats on the beach. The house was very clean and had all amenities that you need.

Can't Wait to Return!

This property was absolutely perfect for our stay with our dogs! The home was conveniently located just off Atlantic, and walking distance to where the rest of our family was staying (Win-Sans), and offered all of the comforts of home! Fabulous fenced yard, on-site laundry, and plenty of extra amenities made our week in New Smyrna with out fur babies extra special! :) We would have extended our stay if we could have!

The property was perfect for my dog and I and visitors that I had. Close to beach which is why I go to FL. Close to great shopping on Flagler Ave and great food. Had everything I needed. Great back yard/garage for my dog! Love it. Hope to return next year.

Clean house with a very well equipped kitchen. Step outside and hear the Ocean in the morning. All that Flagler has to offer is 3 blks away. Rick was very quick to respond to my questions. Street was safe and quiet and the neighbors are very friendly. Comfortable bed in a California Kingsize in master. Large fenced yard for da pooch. Area is very walkable. We truely enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Pelican. Oh yeah, you can sit out front and watch the pelicans fly by!

I wish I owned this home, i think that speaks for itself but in case it doesn't, We felt right at home the moment we pulled in the driveway! Our son and dogs were very happy as well!! None of us wanted to have to leave...ever!! Owner is great! Home and property is well maintained. Well stocked with everything! Great location, great place to stay with a dog, but too much rain.

We have stayed here several times and we really like where it is located and how nice it is. The front porch is perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine when ever it feels like 5 o'clock. The dog can run the back yard because of the fence and that's a real plus for us. It's a great place to spen a week or a month or whatever....

Have stayed at the Lazy Pelican for several years and always enjoy coming back. A block from the beach and a block to the main shopping and eating on Flagler Ave. If you have pets, there is a fenced in back yard. Great to sit on the front porch for coffee every morning. Rick tries to do some updates every year. Large and spacious master bedroom and one small bedroom with twin beds. Wish there were two bathrooms, but that's not possible!

Nice House near the beach.

This place is perfect for us, we have a dog and the back yard is fenced, the floors are wood. The furniture is comfortable and easy to clean. It's just two of us and a dog so just one bathroom is fine. It is close to the beach and to restaurants and shops. The only problem with this visit was the weather, too wet in the beginning and too hot at the end. If Florida needs rain just ask me to visit and it will rain. We like the place and will stay again.

This is the second year we stayed here and we like it very much. It is close to the beach and close to down town. The backyard is great for the dog and the neighborhood is low key.

A great place to vacation near the ocean, shopping and dining

Rick is very good to work with, he works hard to resolve any questions or problems. The house is very clean and he has more than enough supplies to carry you through the week. I have stayed in houses and condos all over Florida and this one was the best supplied and cleanest. The house is older but it has a lot of charm. You can walk to the beach or to dinning and all kinds of night life along Flagler Ave. All in all a great value.

The house is everything described and complimented in the other reviews. We had a great stay at the Lazy Pelican and in NSB in general. The house is very close to the beach and the shops. The house was perfectly setup when we got there and Rick was accessible for our questions. Would rent again for sure.

Wonderful time!!

Our stay in this lovely home was great. It was everything it was advertised as being. Very clean and very well stocked. The location to Flagler Ave and the Beach was perfect. A short stroll and you were anywhere you wanted to be. I was able to bring my small dog and the fenced backyard really helped. Anytime I had a question before or during our stay it was answered immediately by Rick. Thank you.
