Harvest Drive Family Getaway in Heart of Amish Farm Country
This Cape Cod house and spacious yard is perfect for larger groups looking to get away. It is located in the middle of quiet Lancaster farmland and close to all Lancaster County attractions!
We originally built this house for our large family on the family farm before they moved away in 2010. Our favorite part of this home is the safe and peaceful neighborhood surrounded by Amish homes and farmland.
Living Room - With a cathedral ceiling, this space is flooded with natural light. Three comfortable sofas provide a place for everyone to recline and relax.
Kitchen - The newly renovated and fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prep and enjoy meals with everyone! Includes a stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, blender, skillet, dinnerware, crockpots, and plenty of pans and cookware. The wooden coffee bar offers a Keurig, standard 12-cup maker, and mugs for everyone.
Dining - Gather your family around the extendable table or dine on the outdoor deck overlooking spacious lawns and family farmland.
Sleeping - Five bedrooms sleep 13 - 2 bedrooms on the main floor, 2 bedrooms upstairs, and one bedroom in the basement. Extra sleeping options are a pullout futon in the open upstairs loft and a sleeper sofa in the basement lounge. Two full bathrooms on first floor and a full bathroom upstairs.
Outdoors - A beautiful backyard deck, playset, and huge yard allow you to relax and enjoy the tranquility of Lancaster County farmland. Plenty of firewood is available to use with the Brio smokeless pit and the gas grill makes it easy to BBQ. Experience the slower pace of life on our front porch as you watch the buggies go by.
WIFI - Free fast WIFI is available for your convenience.
Laundry Room - A washer and dryer are available for your convenience. Laundry soap is included.
Children are Welcome – Children's toys, highchair, booster, crib, and a child safety gate for the stairs make our home easy to enjoy with kids.
Parking - The Esh family Getaway is located in a quiet rural neighborhood. There is enough parking for 5 vehicles.
Location - This home borders our family farm and you will often hear the clip clop of the horses and their carriages. Only 5 minutes to Intercourse and Kitchen Kettle Village and 15 minutes to Sight and Sound Theater. We are close to Shopping Outlets, eateries of all sorts, Lancaster City, and all the best of Lancaster County attractions.

Entire house is always spotless upon arrival! Kitchen is well-equipped. And recent addition of shampoo and body wash in each shower is an excellent touch. Already booked for a 2nd stay later this year!
Perfect home for a large family gathering. We were in town for a wedding and this was a wonderful place to put our heads down at the end of a busy days. Beyond the great home; we took full advantage of the attached garage with ping pong table (room to park a car), firepit under the stars and a basement toyroom that kept the kiddos happy. Would highly recommend this home in the Lancaster area!!
The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood with pleasant neighbors and breathtaking views from the front porch. The house had everything we needed and was family friendly. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the Lancaster area, it is in a central location to all the locals attractions.
The house was perfect for a family getaway. Close to all the wonderful Amish farms. Wonderful to have a basemwnt where the kids could hang out. House had all the amenities and then some. Would definitely come again.
This is our fourth time staying in this property and it's always been a wonderful experience. We love the space and how clean everything is. I definitely recommend this place. We are looking forward to staying here again soon.
House was clean. Had everything we needed for our stay. The kids loves the basement play area. (The adults enjoyed it as well). Loved the cows in the backyard. Almost like they were posing for our family photos. Host was great to work with.
Everything was excellent, the only thing that would be good is if they cleaned the grilles of the central air vents and the fans; otherwise, the cleaning is good.

The property was spotless and absolutely beautiful. Everything we hoped it would be was far exceeded. It was so peaceful in this area and everything ww could have needed was provided. The owner was so delightful to work with and very accommodating.
This is a great place for a family vacation. The property is very clean and well maintained. The owners have done several upgrades that make it a very comfortable place to stay. We have been going here annually for several years and are never disappointed with this house.
An absolutely wonderful place for our large family. Everything was perfect for us. The host was very responsive to our needs. Great views of pastures and farmland from the front and back of the house. We even got to witness a calf being born. Would definitely recommend.
2nd time staying at the house. Beautiful home, spectacular setting. Would definitely stay again. My only suggestions would be to upgrade the mattresses and maybe someday upgrade the toilets to comfort height. Some of the guests were uncomfortable on the mattresses in the master and upstairs. Thank you for giving us the setting for our family trip.
Everything about our stay was a dream! The hosts were wonderful. Quick to answer any question. Lovely to deal with. The place was amazing! So many great family memories were made during this trip. We will definitely be back here again. My youngest grandson with us said “Gramma, this was so much better than a hotel!” When are we coming back? Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
We have stayed here every year now for 4 years. We make such special memories in this home. The host think of everything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. Can't wait to go back again next year!

About the host
Hosted by Krissy King
Jake and Becky and their children live about half an hour away from this house. We built our cape-cod home in 1990 and lived there until the fall of 2009 when we moved to Honey Brook for mission purposes. Our home is built on an acre of the family farm. The farm, still in the family, is owned by Jake's youngest brother and borders the back of the yard and Jake's parents live next door. Our favorite part of this home is the safe and peaceful neighborhood surrounded by Amish homes and farmland.
Why they chose this property
Nestled in the countryside of Lancaster, we border generational family farmlands. We enjoy the large and peaceful backyard for dinner, games, and just relaxing together. Within minutes to many of Lancaster County's best attractions, it is easy to make short excursions that everyone in the family can enjoy!
What makes this property unique
We have a large family and our space is designed to make it easy and comfortable for larger families to gather and enjoy each other and the best Lancaster has to offer.
