About this property

Stone house with knotty pine interior

This is the cutest stone house ever. We just bought and are finding all sorts of figures in the stone. The stone house sits up high and the large deck offers a panoramic view of First Lake and the head waters of the Flat river known for trout fishing. The two bedrooms are large with brand new beds. Front bedroom had an incredible view from the bed! Lay in bed with your morning coffee or late night star gazing. We have a swimming platform paddle boat, an aluminum boat with oars, two Frisbee golf nets, 8 putters, corn hole with corn bags, fire pit and lots of woods on attached land. The best of woods and lake.

Nice and quiet cottage.

Owners were absolutely great. Stayed next door and was very nice. They had new bed and TV delivered while we were there to improve stay. Awesome deck and view of a very nice lake with swimming area right down the street. Only negative was small electrical issue when using microwave but not deal, and deck needs small repairs. I would recommend this cottage for some relaxation and break.

I have fallen in love with the area. It's a slow paced area with great people. There are some great restaurants around if you are willing to drive a little. Turk lake, Lakeview, Remus or take out in Edmore are all available. Grocery stores in Edmore, Lakeview and Remus are within quick driving distance.

Why they chose this property

There are some huge construction projects in the area and this would work great for housing. Two great bedrooms with an extra single bed in the living room. Well equipped kitchen and a clean efficient bathroom in the stone cottage. Star gazing is good as well as birding. Many eagles, egrets, woodpeckers including two palliated woodpeckers (think woody the wood pecker) that feed on two trees on the property. Also lots of ducks and geese and duck hunters. The gas storage near here uses water for cooling and dumps it back into First lake 3 degrees warmer and thus the fish gravitate towards my dock for the winter.

What makes this property unique

Cool calm and collected. Lots of tools in the garage, games to play and a fire pit both in the woods and on the deck. Grilling is fun on the deck as well as a ceramic pizza oven for a fun night of cooking and eating. Pizzas taste so good out of the oven.
