Welcome to a little piece of paradise called the “Clarion River Retreat”. Located on the Clarion River just outside of the Cook Forest State Park.
Come and immerse yourself in the perfect mix of nature, recreation and relaxation.
Newly renovated 3 BR 2 Bath home. Tiled flooring throughout living spaces, carpeted bedrooms and gorgeous wood ceilings.
“All On One Level” Easy access for the entire family!!!
There are 2 screened in porches, a second story observation deck with the perfect river view, a private backyard patio space and a riverfront firepit area, with private riverfront access. The large screened in porch in the front of the house has table seating for 8, along with casual seating for the entire family.
Inside, the dining area seats 8 and provides open areas into the kitchen/cooking space. The kitchen is equipped with things needed to prepare a "holiday meal".
There are 4 HD smart TVs with Amazon Firesticks, 3 DVD players as well as games and poker supplies.

The Cabin is equipped with a whole house Generac emergency generator. No mater what the weather conditions, you will always have power!!!

Summer rentals are a minimum of 5 nights. Time is allotted for proper cleaning between guests.

Guests can enjoy an afternoon of fun and relaxing and later watch the sunset from the observation deck or riverside in front of the fire.

Spend the day enjoying the beautiful Clarion river, all that Cook Forest has to offer, and the surrounding Pennsylvania Wilds.

Clarion River Retreat

Great time on the Clarion River. We have stayed at 7 different beach houses at the North Carolina seashore, this vacation rental is very well stocked. Owner has put in a lot of thoughtfulness. Entire family enjoyed our time there.

Annual Cook Forest Vacation

Just a great place to vacation. We had several days of rain and my grandkids had plenty to do inside while watching the storms. Access to the river was easy and convenient, fishing, swimming and rafting was really nice. The Owner had bikes, canoes, kayaks, games, fishing gear and much more for entertaining the family. We had a great time.

Relaxation in the Woods

We had a great time relaxing at this peaceful retreat on the river in the woods. The tranquility, coupled with the ability to be out on the water, was a welcome chance to unplug. The retreat was clean and had everything needed for a week of relaxation and family time.

My Mom's Roots

My husband, children and my 88 year old Mom returned to Cook's Forest after staying many summers as a child. My Mom grew up in Western PA and has many relatives and roots nearby. This house was PERFECT as it accommodated us all comfortably and we lacked for nothing. Highly recommend and we may return in the future.

Fun Summer Place

Loved the place! It literally had everything you would need for outdoor activities and even kitchen supplies. Perfectly set up and we all had a great time and will definitely be back. The only surprise was the pictures make it seem the fire pit and river access is part of the property but you do have to cross the road to access these amenities.

Peaceful cabin on the river

Spotlessly clean cabin in the middle of a peaceful and beautiful forest. Perfect in every way! So many extras. We were able to have my senior citizen mom enjoy Cook Forest with this comfortable place to stay. Wonderful memories created. Looking forward to visiting again.

Great House

The house was amazing. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The kitchen had every appliance you could think of. We enjoyed having the canoes, tubes, and kayaks to use on the river. The porches were phenomenal spaces to use for relaxing. The owner is super friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. Our trip couldn’t have been better.

Wonderful!

The Clarion River Retreat is all that is advertised...and more! The house is spacious, clean and provides tons of amenities. The front screened in porch is great for breakfast and sitting in the evening --no bugs! The kitchen is large and extremely well stocked. There is a living room for watching TV, the bar area in the back for quiet reading (or a different TV watching experience), and there are multiple other areas, inside and out, with tables to eat or play cards. The firepit area by the river is lovely and we loved the fact that we could borrow inner tubes and bikes and play croquet on the lawn. All in all this place is great and we loved every minute of it!

Location location location!!!

The views, river, wildlife and house were amazing. Tom was fantastic and was easy to get a hold of. You can take his canoe and kayaks right to the river.
