The cottage is small but very comfortable. The first thing we saw at the front door was a doe eating grass 10 feet away. $8 uber ride from downtown hot spots. There is a stairway trail leading up the hill if your into hiking. Owners were very reaponsive and even checked in with us at the beginning of day 2 to make sure we were ok and didnt need anything. We will be going back.
The place was small, but adequate. The kitchen was good enough for warming food and we definitely appreciated the mini oven. The biggest difficulty was enough light in the kitchen area. The road to the house is tight and if you're not familiar it can be scary...of course that has nothing to do with the home-owner, but it is nice to know. While we weren't looking for over the top hospitality and the host did provided the basic necessities, they did not come across as very friendly. That being said, the price was pretty good.

No heat, no privacy
In all seriousness, our room at the Best Western ended up being a nice upgrade.
The studio is tiny, shockingly difficult to find, and provides near zero separation from the host's home. We were greeted by overflowing trash cans and a barking dog as we worked our way just past the many windows of the owner's home. It was rainy and cold. The gas wall heater wouldn't light. The new smoke detector still had the cardboard (battery protecting) tab inside it, making it inoperable. Not a confidence builder when combined with a suspect gas appliance.
Cozy and small are not interchangeable. This place was tiny and clean, but not warm, comforting or relaxing.

It's unfortunate that Kelly threatened us with a bad review if we did not give her a full refund after she'd altered her plans several times and had already checked-in. She thought the heater was an air purifier. We live in a residential area and the cottage is past our driveway and house. The cottage is many, many yards away from our home.

Not worth the money and stay for young families
I would not recommend this place for young families. We arrived at night. There are no street lights so good luck finding this place after dark. The lanes are narrow for two cars to pass quickly. We spend a lot of time driving in circles. The cottage is several steps downstairs which again makes it difficult at night.
The room has a fan but doesnt help with ventilation. It was hot and with no breeze we didnt have good sleep.
The owner doesnt respond promptly. I expected a response with 20 minutes atleast. My first question when i was in the cottage he responded in 2hrs and the next in 1hr. Causing inconvenience to us as well
Our checkout was 11:00 am we couldnt make it in time and we ended up paying 100$ extra for we checkout 12:00 pm.
Its unfair we pay so much but get nothing in return

Unfortunately, this guest decided to ring our doorbell close to midnight waking up our young children. He then ignored our departure time. Had we had availability we certainly would have allowed a late check-out. As such, his flagrant disregard for our rules and ignoring repeated texts/phone calls impacted another guest’s experience. We responded promptly to every VRBO message and text. He decided that check-out times don’t apply to him and departed 90 minutes late. The “fan” is actually a heater.
Enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. Location was perfect--on the Steps! Walk to downtown and multiple local trails. Cottage was cute and comfortable. Shower a bit small but didn't impede on our enjoyment of the weekend.

Not good for large vehicles as very narrow curvy hilly roads. Access requires many steps down and up
Not well marked on street so very hard to find, but nice once there. Very limited kitchen, some lights not working, few extras in general.
Our very first time ever using any type of Verbo sort of accommodations and we made fools of ourselves. We entered the main residence on accident thinking it was where we were supposed to be. Fortunately the owners were incredibly patient and kind and even left us an actual key for the lock because we are not tech savvy enough to use the App for unlocking the door. For our first expereience we were extremely fortunate to book our stay here. Thank you for your kinkness!!
