The kitchen was well stocked for cooking though we went out mostly to the excellent resteraunts nearby. Great location for family going to graduation @ Lackland AFB.
This house was perfect for our family. Great location and just as described. All bedrooms are up stairs, but the living room can close up and the sleeper sofa worked perfect for us - traveling with a broken foot.

Thanks Dina. I'm glad the pullout worked for you, and I hope it was comfortable. I also hope your broken foot didn't keep you from seeing the city, but if it did, you're welcome back any time!
Kitchen well equipped, and plenty of staples so we coulld cook real meals. We wanted a historical house near downtown but on a quiet street, and we got it.

Thanks for taking the tie to write a review! I'm glad you guys took advantage of the kitchen. On one hand, there are so many great restaurants within walking distance of the house, and we love sending them business. On the other hand, we want people to have the option to save money and enjoy being in the house together.
It was a great place for my group and I to host a reunion. Short walk to the riverwalk with lots of things to do, lots of parking, and very comfortable. A/C worked great when it was kicked on. Had everything you needed.

Thanks for the review Ryan! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. The housekeeper should let me know today if she found the things you left behind. If so, I'll get them in the mail ASAP.
The Host was friendly, the kitchen was fitted and the fridge even had fresh eggs! It was nice and close to the Riverwalk area and very comfortable. Super neat view through the trees of the Tower of the Americans from the balcony. Floors could have been a little cleaner around the corners but there were plenty of towels and other necessities. Fantastically cool old style house!
We had a great stay! Really enjoyed the house and neighborhood. So close to great restaurants. We didn't need anything but Host was readily available. We will gladly stay here again!
Lovely older home with lots of space and comfortably slept our group. Everything we needed in kitchen, plenty of parking space for our cars. House is older than appears in pictures and needs a little TLC, but great value and we would absolutely stay again. Owner was responsive and accommodating. Easy walk to Riverwalk.

Shannon, Thanks for the review. I'm glad the kitchen worked out for you. We try to have all the basics plus a bit, but sometimes we get suggestions for things we hadn't thought of. I hope the house looks old in the pictures . . . that's one of the biggest selling points! I know what you mean about TLC though. We try to stay on top of it, but there's always room for improvement. Let me know if you have any specific suggestions.

This property has an amazing location and lots of historic charm. The host was very welcoming and there is private parking onsite. It does need some updates throughout in furniture as well as paint and fixtures. Otherwise it was great.

Host was communicative and responsive throughout our stay. Check-in instructions were clear and concise as well as the expectations. Amenities in the house were nice, functioned well and overall the house was comfortable. Location was PERFECT. Safe, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to most everything we wanted to get to. Gated driveway for our rental vehicle was a bonus.

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for taking the time to review. We love getting feedback, because we're always looking for ways to make things better.
The host was very helpful. The house is very conveniently located. Close to downtown and close to good restaurants. The house is charming and homey and a fine specimen (more than 100 years old) with high ceilings and fine woodwork. The kitchen was well stocked with staples. We enjoyed the neighborhood feel. It was perfect for us, a group of friends attending a conference. Beds comfortable, homey all around.

Hi Sharon, We're fortunate to have ample parking. Many of our guests are groups are friends or families converging from all over the state or different parts of the country. That big parking area is nice when there are 4 or 5 cars to store.
