New Furniture, New Decor! This condo has it all!

Grand Caribbean East provides a paradise vacation for the entire family or for those special couples. This newly updated property provides breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico from its private top floor balcony and sits directly across the street from the beach. A NEW Beach Access has been built directly in front of the condo. It is only a 30 second walk to the beach!

Grand Caribbean East is a quaint 3-story building located in Crystal Beach, one of the most desired areas of Destin. Crystal Beach is world renowned for sugar white beaches and sparkling emerald waters. There are no high rises in the area, which allows you to get away from the crowds and congestion. Our convenient yet uncrowded location is near restaurants, shopping, golf, fishing, and theme parks.

This unit is beautifully decorated with seaside décor that sleeps 8. The interior accommodations are spacious and welcoming allowing you to escape from the hustle and bustle. The master bedroom has a luxurious king size bed with a NEW pillow top mattress and bedding. The guest bedroom also has a king bed with a NEW pillow top mattress and bedding. Both bedrooms are furnished with a HDTV/DVD player along with ceiling fans.

There are 2 bunk beds in the hallway alcove which are great for kids. Note: Not all Grand Caribbean East 2 BR/2 BA condos are furnished with bunk beds. There is also a queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room. This unit has 2 full baths, with tubs and showers. For your convenience, there is also a full size washer/dryer. Enjoy cooking in the large open kitchen while enjoying awesome Gulf views. The kitchen, dining room, and living room all have updated lighting fixtures.

The living room has a NEW 55' Flatscreen LCD TV with HD service/channels. It also has a Streaming Blu-Ray Player, stereo with I-Pod/Phone dock, and boardgames for the family. Free WiFi is also available.

Two sets of French doors open to the private balcony. Along with spectacular Gulf views, you can also see the pool and hot tub from the spacious balcony.

We welcome you to put your feet up, get away from it all, and relax with us. With spectacular Gulf views and gorgeous renovations, this Grand Caribbean unit is your ‘great escape’ to paradise.

This condo is fabulous. So clean, well appointed, beautifully decorated - 2 king beds/2 baths. Perfect for two couples and bunk beds if there are children also. Nice dishes and cookware - I will definitely save as a favorite.

The condo was great for a family getaway! The two younger boys loved the bunk beds, there were plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. It’s a 2 minute walk to the beach. Seriously, a perfect place to stay. Any correspondence with the owner was answered quickly. We will definitely return!

Michael was super responsive and helpful. Good location as the area is less commercial with nice wide sidewalks with anything you want within a short drive. Couple of great restaurants within walking distance. Easy access to the beach. Keep in mind, no elevator so you need to be able to take stairs to the third floor. Would definitely stay here again.

The unit was in a great location. The walk across the street to the beach was very convenient and easy to access. The pool was perfect too. My only complaint is that the unit is on the third floor and there are no elevators. Lots of stuff to walk up three flights of stairs. Overall we would definitely stay again. Great unit.

Great Location! Condo has all the small amenities that make vacationing a little less stressful ( few days worth of toiletries, 1 load worth of detergent & softener sheets, make-up mirror, beach gear ) . Condo was immaculate & decor was super cool. The building itself is a bit dated. There is no elevator, so taking luggage up 3 flights was a bit difficult, but doable. Michael gave information early and was very accessible, if needed.

I debated about writing a great review because then the secret will be out. Michael is a great owner to work with. This condo was great for our family of five. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms was an added bonus to some of our trips to Florida. Not all units in this condo have 2 bedrooms. The walk to the beach was just right across the street. The grandkids loved the pool area. We will definitely be back for sure.

This property is FANTASTIC!! The pictures don’t do it justice! It’s a huge condo! Each bedroom is enormous with great decor, comfortable bedding! Water pressure was fantastic! Washer and dryer was super convenient! Living room, dining room, and kitchen were also big, plus they were stocked with everything we need (including salt and pepper which is a big deal!) the balcony is to die for! The openness off the living room really lightens up the place! The balcony has amazing views and plenty of seating. The biggest bonus is the beach access right across the street. Closer than you would think! Best condo we’ve stayed in and we’ve been coming to Destin for 10 years!

Ohhh the ocean view

Ohh the ocean view!!! Spent oodles of serene time on the balcony. Full view of sunrise and sunset. No need for an APP you can hear the ocean waves lull you to sleep. Kudos to the owner. He was super responsive and invested in accommodating any request. Unit layout great, primary bedroom away from living/dining. It is inviting and clean. Kitchen is well equipped. In unit washer and dryer a huge plus. Beds sooo comfortablt. Building in very clean. Pool is immaculate. Enjoy!!

Overall, great stay. Host, Michael was the absolute best part. Condo could have been cleaner. There were broken blinds. Used bottle waters were left in the condo as well as used washcloths. Balcony/furniture was not clean. Could have used more toilet tissue and paper towel. There is no elevator, so be prepared to take the flights of stairs. Great location. Would recommend.

Crystal Beach fun

We all loved the location of the property, just a short walk to the beach. Everything in the unit functioned but the unit was in need of a deep cleaning and painting. Mold in the bath rooms, wood work and base boards and vanities all scuffed and dinged up, kitchen cabinets must be original from many years ago, functional. No wow factor when entering the unit. Also, we didn't realize there wasn't an elevator, so we carried everything up three flights of stairs and made a lot of trips up and down the stairs during our stay. The pool was nice as was the hot tub.

We had an 8 hour drive and just stayed 2 nights, we got there early but had errands to run. Waited an hour to check in at 3 which property states. The place was very dirty and had not been cleaned. Called the owner, he called back in about 45 minutes and said , well, check-in isn’t til 4, I said it supposed to be 3, he said well, between 3 & 4, he would call the housekeeper, and update me. The update was in text and said housekeeper was on her way and sorry for the inconvenience. It took housekeeper 45 minutes to get there, she had to bring her daughter and said she had not been told the place needed to be cleaned. She took my number and said she would call me when it was done, but would take two hours. She did not contact me. We came back about 7:30 and it was cleaned, but floors were still wet in places so she hadn’t been gone long. Aside from that the place really needs a deep cleaning. The shower didn’t work in one bathroom so we had to share showers. kitchen freezer has a frozen pizza stuck to it. Owner never check back with us which wasn’t surprising considering the laidback attitude. I ask if we could check out at 4 since we didn’t get into our room until 7:30. He did let us do that with a simple, yes response. The location is great and has lots of potential. But, it’s on the 3rd floor with no elevators which is not communicated in the description. So two friends in their 60’s was a bit difficult. It was my first time booking through VRBO and has been disappointing.
