This place is not “lake front”. You can’t see the lake anywhere from the cabin. It’s a half mile walk down the steep driveway (that you won’t get notified about until you book). The ac was broken when we arrived (it was August) and when I texted about it I got a phone call giving me the third degree about why I didn’t open the windows and letting me know it’s a small town so the ac guy probably wouldn’t make it to fix the ac. It was a hot and miserable two nights and we left early and got a hotel on the last night. Also, when I asked about the kayak I was told you can’t use the kayak for “legal reasons”. The description is blatantly misleading. I would not stay here again.

I am so sorry you had a bad experience. The AC worked the weekend before for the previous guests and the cleaning crew did not report an outage. I'm so sorry you misinterpreted the listing title and description. The property title does say "Lake Front Property" not lakefront cottage. Also, the description says the cottage is nestled along the top of the ridge. 17 acres is a sizable property. Regardless, you definitely deserve the comfort of AC so a refund was immediately processed. My sincerest appologies.
We enjoyed our stay here at the tiny cabin it was nicely put together and very private! The owner communicated well with me throughout our stay and was very polite!!
We came to Pikeville for a wedding and the location was perfect for our family of 5. The kids had a great time exploring the woods and we loved the information Bruce provided about local attractions and restaurants. We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay. The little cottage was perfect!!! Nestled in the woods not far from the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in deck listening to the birds and crickets. It was so peaceful and the cottage was adorable!!! We really enjoyed our get away! Highly reccomend!!
We enjoyed every moment spent at this cabin, it had everything we needed and more, very clean, private and peaceful, we’ll definitely never forget this beautiful place. Thank you Bruce and Sheri for making us and our little dog “tucker” feel at home

Very nice property, we were looking for seclusion to just relax and this was a great spot. The only issue is it is not lakefront, you need to drive down a steep hill. Also lots of property although no trails to hike. Everything else was terrific 👍
My husband, son, dog and I had a great time. The hosts go above and beyond to exceed your expectations. The cabin is very clean and has all the amenities you need. The hosts graciously provided their kayaks. They were used daily and our dog enjoyed the ride as well. We had a great time fishing in the lake. There is also a lot of property to hike. If you are looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Tennessee don’t continue your search and book here.

Thank you so much for your kind review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay to this very special property. Would love to have you back.
This property was exactly as advertised. Very clean and accommodating. Very secluded but near enough to town that it wasn't inconvenient. The lake near the property looked a little mucky and there didn't seem to be an easy place to park near the lake for fishing access but we found other things to do nearby so it wasn't an issue. Bruce was very communicative via the app and even provided super detailed directions to the cottage which was very helpful. We were very thankful that it was pet friendly so we could bring our 2 dogs, and we definitely enjoyed our stay in this quaint little cottage in the woods. We were even able to sit in the screened in porch while it rained. It was very relaxing and quiet.
