The Magnolia House was everything as advertised and more, from the house itself, to the the furnishings, location, and the owner's attention to details (the wood set and ready to light in the firepit or a flashlight in the every bedroom nightstand). We were in Hot Springs for or son's wedding and our stay at the Magnolia House was the "icing on the cake".We had many family members staying in Hot Springs for the wedding with fourteen of us staying at Magnolia House. We have rented several houses over the years at the NC Beaches and occasionally in the NC Mountains for a long weekend at Thanksgiving or Christmas. All were great but several features stood out for us at Magnolia House over all the others.**The extra large and very well equipped kitchen with a plentiful stock of cookware, dishes, glassware and utensils.**The spacious dining room with 14 chairs around the table.**The large front porch, also with a large table and 14 chairs, where we ate breakfast every morning overlooking the manicured grounds.**The location. The property is surrounded by large trees. We could not see a single neighbor's house nor hear traffic on Main Street. And yet, if exiting the grounds through the pedestrian gate at at the back of the property it is less than a five minute leisurely stroll to Main Street. We arrived Thursday and parked our cars. Not a single car left the property until Check-Out Monday morning. Truly a memorable family weekend.
