Hidden away deep in Blue Ridge, Bliss House overlooks a sea of forested land. Outside, breathe in the fresh forest air, hear the rush of waterfalls, and see peaks of mountains in the distance. Gather your group on our spacious deck for yoga, meditation, dining, and more. Hike trails and bathe in fresh spring water. Inside, enter a sacred space. Practice, heal, and relax in our altar room adorned with sacred paintings and effigies from the Himalayas. Rest your head on one of our 16 plush beds, that include soft linens and thick comforters to stay warm in the winter. Whether you're planning a large spiritual retreat, an intimate gathering, or a couples night, The Bliss House is your home in the mountains.

**Please note that will be the **only group** in the house if you book with us and will be able to explore over 63 acres of land and HUNDREDS of acres of National Forest!**

Nestled in the mountains of the Appalachians, the Wheel of Bliss Retreat house was established to provide different religious and spiritual traditions a sacred space to host retreats. The main house can host over 20 attendees and is perfect for a 4-7 day retreat. The property has 63 acres of mountain land that back up to over 100 acres of National Forest, 2 large streams, waterfalls, and multiple trails to hike and explore. Reach out to us now to reserve your space!

*The nightly rate is for up to 5 people total. For groups larger than 5, please note that there is an additional charge of $39/person per night. Additional guests of any age are included in this calculation, with the exception of children under 3 years old. The Bliss House can sleep up to 20 people total.*

**Please Note that we only allow **one group** to book the house at a time. Whether you are with a group of 10 or more or booking a few nights for yourself, you will be the *only* group in the house. We have a caretaker on-site but he is in a cabin several acres down-mountain from the privacy and seclusion of the main house (where you will be staying)**

* Booking alone or on behalf of a group? You will be the ONLY group in the retreat house for the duration of your booking!
* Distance from Asheville? We are isolated deep in the mountains, about an hour from the center of Asheville.
* Are we pet-friendly? YES! Bring up to 2 dogs at no extra charge
* Because of limitations in Airbnb's API, it listed our jacuzzi tub as a "hot tub". We have a jacuzzi tub in the Master Bathroom that fits 1-2 people max, but no hot tub
* Neighbors are spaced many acres apart and are very friendly.
* One should have a car to drive to the property, preferably a 4x4 to drive up the mountain (there is a stone gravel road), although a sedan will do if it has sufficient ground clearance.
* Driving a car that has a low ground clearance in the mountains is not recommended.
* The internet connection works well but the house is in the mountains, so higher bandwidth activities can sometimes load slowly.
* Guests must sign an agreement after booking to maintain reservation status. The agreement will be sent to you via email to e-sign once you've booked the space

Perfect place to relax during a destination wedding

We tremendously enjoyed the location and peacefulness of our surroundings. My boys enjoyed exploring the hiking trails right on the property when we weren't busy with wedding festivities. Rob, the caretaker, was so on point and a genuine sweetheart! He looked out for us and made sure we had everything we needed. Kitchen is well stocked too! Colin has been great working with, providing us timely updates and details as well as quickly responding to any inquiries. You don't have to be into yoga and meditation to fall in love with this place. The natural beauty and serenity will speak to your inner nature lover. Oh, and this was the first vacation I've actually not worked on! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this beautiful Oasis high in the magnificent mountains!

Peaceful and private mountain retreat

Wonderful hiking, vistas, and waterfalls all right at your door at this beautiful home! We enjoyed our stay so much, and our two dogs adored the hiking trails and room to roam.

Beautiful secluded getaway

Property is completely by itself which allows for a great vacation without distraction. We were there for a relaxing stay which was incredible but it would also be terrific for an executive or business retreat. Will look into booking again.

The perfect getaway

My friends and I rented this place for only one night and we regretted not booking a longer stay. We wanted to get away from the city and go to a place where we were secluded from others and in nature. This place was all of that and much more. The outdoor fire pit, access to a trail with a couple beautiful waterfalls, and the sheer size of the home and amenities made this the best place to rent. The hosts were outstanding throughout. They reached out before our stay to tell us a little bit about the area and the property manager was very friendly once we arrived. I recommend this place to anyone looking to be in nature and have a relaxing retreat. 5 out of 5 stars!

True mountain escape

Our ladies hiking club, enjoyed spending a few days at The Wheel of Bliss retreat. Our favorite spot at night was the fire pit! The caretaker Rob, started the fire each night and took great care of us. The master suite was a treat with the sauna! And it was great having folding tables and chairs for the deck for our large group. It is a narrow gravel driveway up to the house but our van and all wheel drive suvs handled it fine.

5 stars! Awesome place. PROS: Rob is extremely nice, welcoming, and accommodating; exactly what you want in a VRBO! Big wrap around deck with great views. Secluded. Hiking trails. Fire pit. Plenty of space. Sauna. If you’re in to fitness, their is plenty of elevation to challenge yourself on. Mountain streams. Dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker all available. Two refrigerators side by side, lots of storage! Grill on deck with multiple propane tanks. CONS: No cell service (Verizon) but they do have internet so you can still use your phone. Winding mountain roads caused motion sickness in adults and children to throw up, bring Dramamine. Nearest complete grocery store is 45mins away so plan accordingly. Spiral stair case is unique, however, it is steep and challenging for toddlers and the elderly; that is the only way to move between levels inside the house, otherwise you have to go around the outside of the house. 5 stars. Would recommend.

Good evening Collin! I want to thank you for hosting my party of 16 at Wheels Of Bliss. We had an amazing time. The place was perfect for my family ands friends, they loved it! We enjoyed hiking on the property and sitting around the fire pit at night. Thank you for making our New Year’s Getaway an unforgettable one. I want to thank Rob as well for welcoming us, giving us good recommendation and being so helpfull at all times. He’s a super friendly guy! Rob, Max Patch was incredibly fun for the kids. A very special place

The WOB was the perfect place to celebrate my small wedding. Not very far at all from Max Patch Mtn too! If you have a lot of garbage you can save some of the fees by hauling it out yourself. I will definitely stay there again with a small group of friends!

Beautiful property and very comfortable home for our 10 adults!

We all enjoyed staying at Wheel of Bliss while attending a family wedding. The six bedrooms were more than enough room. The beds were extremely comfortable . Having Rob the caretaker nearby was welcoming and reassuring in case we needed something. We enjoyed hiking on the property and relaxing on the huge deck!

Wheel of Bliss is an opportunity for TRUE BLISS! in the Blue Ridge Mountains

I recently organized a women's retreat with 17 women at Wheel of Bliss, and the weekend and the home was everything I hoped it would be! The property and the home is such a magical place!!! The home is very clean and is provided with everything that you need from paper products, spices to cook with, special goodies that awaited us, and coffee! We used all of the beds in the home, and the women remarked on how comfortable the mattresses, pillows, and comforters were. It was so nice to have so many bathrooms, as well. There are trails on the property that lead you to a stream and waterfalls. Sunday morning, before we left, I hiked the trails and was able to say a heartfelt 'goodbye' to the land. The land borders the National Forest, so you definitely feel completely private and away from it all! Rob, the caretaker who lives in a cabin at the foot of the driveway, was so helpful and friendly. He helped us build fires each night and checked on us. The fire pit is big and beautiful, and the first night we were there, we all drummed around the fire! It was so nice to have access to large tables and enough folding chairs for us all. Saturday evening we had an open air dinner on the large front porch. The lights and flags on the front porch are so beautiful! There are prayer flags in places all over the house, as well. We offered yoga, meditation, hiking, drumming, chakra healing, etc, and everything was lovely! The meditation room with a beautiful, large altar is a vision unto itself! The comfortable meditation mats and yoga mats that are provided, enhanced out experience! Some women didn't bring yoga mats, so it was so nice to have many there! We offered an evening chakra meditation, and with the lights dimmed in the altar room and all of the candles lit, it was such a healing and serene experience. Thank you for providing candles, as well! I loved the close proximity of the home to Max Patch, as well. We all went to Max Patch Saturday afternoon for a group hike! Last but not least, we woke up Sunday morning to snow flurries! It was truly a magical ending to our amazing retreat! Thank you so much Colin and Wheel of Bliss for our new special place! We cannot wait to return next Fall!!!

A picture perfect getaway!

Right from the time we saw the photos of this property till the time our stay came to an end, our experience at this property has been an amazing one. Colin, the owner of this property, was extremely helpful. At each step of the way, she ensured, through clear communication, that we felt safe and at home during our stay at the cabin. There was a box of chocolate truffles waiting for us on entry with a welcome note that really added a nice touch. We were a big group - 15 humans and a pet - but there was plenty of space for everyone and more. The cabin itself is incredibly beautiful. It is located in picture perfect setting with a campfire pit and mountains all around. We stayed here during the last week of Oct when the Fall season had dressed up the whole place making our stay that much more colorful, literally. The cabin was well furnished with everything we needed including some card games. The altar is an exhibition and that's not saying enough. View of the night sky from the cabin's deck is straight out of a fairy tale. As the time approached for us to leave the cabin, we just wanted the time to freeze. Many amazing things that happen in our lives and we tend to forget them as days pass and move on. But the beautiful memories we made from our stay at this bewitching cabin, I'm sure, will always linger on with us.

Wonderful Getaway Spot!! Has it ALL!!

My girlfriends and I booked this house for a getaway weekend. When we arrived we were thrilled to see how well the house was kept and how big the house was. The pictures don't do it justice! Each downstairs bedroom slept around five people each and each bedroom downstairs had its own bathroom. On the main level of the home, there were two bedrooms and a full bathroom as well as a half bathroom and laundry room. There was an additional bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The house was beautiful! We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and we were able to find all the supplies we needed. The house was comfortable and each closet was stocked with blankets, pillows, etc. We would love to come back again soon and we would recommend it to anyone looking to be in the Hot Springs area. The communication with the owner was outstanding. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us this weekend!

We run a meditation center in Miami Beach and were absolutely entranced with the beauty and energy of The Blue Ridge Mountains when we first came to this land in 2010. We originally began developing Wheel of Bliss in 2012 as a retreat space for friends and practitioners from South Florida to spend summers. After receiving multiple requests from different groups to stay on the land, we decided to create a listing on Airbnb to share the possibility of experiencing this beautiful and peaceful land with the community. Since then, we have enjoyed our hosting experience tremendously. We have been able to meet groups from all over the country including spiritual/religious retreat groups, families, Ivy League Universities, campers, and couples! We are very excited for 2017 and will be opening two new facilities as well as a large garden space for weddings and outdoor events. We are happy to speak with you about hosting your getaway today!
