About this property

Bliss House

Hidden away deep in Blue Ridge, Bliss House overlooks a sea of forested land. Outside, breathe in the fresh forest air, hear the rush of waterfalls, and see peaks of mountains in the distance. Gather your group on our spacious deck for yoga, meditation, dining, and more. Hike trails and bathe in fresh spring water. Inside, enter a sacred space. Practice, heal, and relax in our altar room adorned with sacred paintings and effigies from the Himalayas. Rest your head on one of our 16 plush beds, that include soft linens and thick comforters to stay warm in the winter. Whether you're planning a large spiritual retreat, an intimate gathering, or a couples night, The Bliss House is your home in the mountains.

Saunas & Creekside Cold Plunge

You smell the cedar before you reach the door. Two electric barrel saunas sit steps from the creek, each seating up to 4 people (8 between both).

Heat up, then step out under the forest canopy into crisp mountain air. Finish in nature's cold plunge: waterfalls, and a creek deep enough to immerse yourself fully.

Sauna access is an optional add-on to your stay (additional fee, and a separate waiver is required). Ask us when booking and we'll set it up.

Important Details & FAQs

Exclusive Access: We only allow **one group** to book the house at a time. Whether you are with a group of 10 or more or booking a few nights for yourself, you will be the *only* group in the house for the duration of your booking.

Outdoor Barrel Saunas: We have 2 newly added outdoor barrel saunas available as an optional add-on to your stay. This is completely separate and apart from your lodging booking, requiring its own add-on payment and a separate agreement to fill out and sign. We require at least a week of notice if you wish to add the saunas to your visit.

Distance from Asheville: We are isolated deep in the mountains, about an hour from the center of Asheville.
Pet Policy: YES, we are pet-friendly! Bring up to 2 dogs at no extra charge.

Bathrooms/Amenities: Due to limitations in Airbnb's API, our master bathroom jacuzzi tub is listed as a "hot tub." Please note we have a jacuzzi tub fitting 1-2 people max, but no communal hot tub.

Neighborhood: Neighbors are spaced many acres apart and are very friendly.

Transportation: A car is required to reach the property. A 4x4 is preferred to navigate the stone gravel mountain road, though a sedan will work if it has sufficient ground clearance (low-clearance vehicles are not recommended).

Connectivity: The internet connection works well, but due to our remote mountain location, higher bandwidth activities can sometimes load slowly.

Booking Agreement: Guests must sign an agreement after booking to maintain reservation status. The agreement will be sent to you via email to e-sign once you've booked the space.

Hello!

We were absolutely entranced with the beauty and energy of The Blue Ridge Mountains when we first came to this land in 2010. We originally began developing Wheel of Bliss in 2012 as a retreat space for friends and practitioners from South Florida to spend summers. After receiving multiple requests from different groups to stay on the land, we decided to create a listing on Airbnb to share the possibility of experiencing this beautiful and peaceful land with the community. Since then, we have enjoyed our hosting experience tremendously. We have been able to meet groups from all over the country including spiritual & religious retreat groups, families, Ivy League Universities, campers, and couples! Beyond the Bliss House, we also offer two other facilities on the property. The Celestial Hall is a space perfect for gatherings, communal meals, and events, while the Celestial Center is a large yurt that serves as a perfect practice space for yoga, meditation retreats, or ceremonies. We have also recently added two outdoor barrel saunas right by waterfalls on our creek. We are happy to speak with you about hosting your getaway today!
