Our stay at this property was wonderful. It is so convenient to downtown. The house is an older home but it is comfortable and welcoming. Our host, Bob, was so friendly and helpful. The two bedrooms upstairs were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The bedrooms downstairs were a bit cold but a heater helped to warm things up. There is a laundry room that was unfinished and cold but the washer and dryer worked well. I would highly recommend this wonderful home to anyone visiting the Anchorage area.
Stayed here with a group of 5 friends. Fun, quirky place. Plenty of beds & bedrooms. Recommend downstairs bedrooms as the sun sets quite late and some light does get in.
Check in was super easy. Bob the host sent everything ahead of time. Very Detailed instructions. The location is perfect for getting to anywhere. Great for families. The 2 bathrooms really help!! Bob was so quick to answer our questions and help with what ever we needed. Oh, the beds……..I have never slept so well!!Will definitely stay there again if I ever find myself back in Alaska!!!
This house was in a great location for my trip with my friends. Everything was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Check in and check out was easy. The host responded to all my messages in a very timely manner. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
The host was very nice and helpful, and the house was a good place to say. The house needs some work, but I get the feeling that it is a fairly new purchase and a work in progress.
This property has multiple bedrooms which served our family well during our short stay. Bob, the owner, responded quickly when we had questions. The home is clean and well maintained. The location is also close to the sights we visited. Definitely recommend it.

Thank you Michael we enjoyed hosting you and your family.
We loved the location and the amount of space. Beds were comfortable. We wish there would have been enough chairs, dishes, and towels for our entire group. Just be aware extra people beyond six are charged an additional fee.
Hi Daniel, we apologize for any inconvenience. We use a professional cleaning business, and they mixed up their schedule that day. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and delay in getting things prepared for you on time.
This was a perfect place to stay while attending an Anchorage Conference. Instead of booking several hotel rooms, we decided to book this house. It has plenty of room, parking and we were able to discuss the different sessions we were attending. This will definitely be our go-to place for future conferences--and for play!
Here to see Hamilton. Perfect very convenient older house. Comfortable beds. No complaints. Interesting books. Very much appreciated being able to walk easily to downtown and coastal trail

Thanks K! We appreciate your review. We hope to be able to host you all again.
Had 3 days in Alaska before our cruise.
Large house with good amenities and good location for downtown.
Some work needed to repair window frames which offset the otherwise very good experience.
Very comfortable.
Excellent host who was in regular contact
A 4.5 overall rating (not available) was our preference. This property has the perfect cabin feel, fitting our Alaskan family trip. Our group consisted of 4 people coming from 3 different states. We felt right at home with plenty of space, a clean kitchen with ample supplies and a central location to town. Our rating would be 5 if not for minor ommissions to the listing. Entrance was only through 1 door, a detail not disclosed in the listing. And not all bedroom windows opened. Aside from these, we definitely recommend this property.
This house has the potential to be awesome, but is ruined by its condition and cleanliness. The first thing that strikes you upon entering is the smell. It smells as if it has been sealed up for years with no fresh air. Very musty smelling. After you get used to the smell, it’s hard to ignore the wall to wall shag carpet that is throughout the house, or the fact that every piece of furniture in the living room has holes in it.

What makes this property unique
An updated home with 1,920 sq ft., a modern kitchen and full baths, 4 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, plus a 5th (semi-private) bedroom with a double bed, and a family room with a sleeper sofa. Perfect for larger groups or families needing separate spaces. Backyard with a beautiful garden (in summer). New bedding, towels, shower curtains, blankets, housewares, and kitchen items. Decorated with a touch of The Last Frontier and reminiscent of Anchorage's tent city and gold rush era.
