Near the Beach on Balboa Island. Just 3 houses away from the Beach. Beautiful, spacious upstairs 1 bedroom with a King size bed, plus a day bed (twin size bed with a twin size trundle bed underneath) in the living room. Lovely kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, gas stove and microwave. Television in the living room and in the bedroom. Lots of closet space. Great working space, and excellent WiFi.
Private washer and dryer. Air conditioning. Spacious patio with gas BBQ grill.

Quiet Lovely Retreat

The apartment was lovely with nice upgrades and all needed amenities. It has a nice private patio and is close to the water and Balboa walking path. Just a short walk to the ferry. The bed was super comfortable and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Lovely stay in Balboa Island

We loved our stay here, the accommodation was very comfortable and in a great location. Check in was easy and the host very communicative. Although our truck was too large to fit in the garage, we always found street parking nearby. Just a small thing to note, you are expected to wash and dry the towels before you leave which is a slight inconvenience as check out is 10 am. However, we would happily stay here again.

Retirement kick-off!

Our stay started the day my fiancé retired! The property, including the rooftop deck, was spacious, clean, and very well appointed. Besides rooftop relaxing, we also enjoyed our Bayfront walks, biking via ferry along the peninsula, beach sitting, Marine Ave, and local restaurants featuring live music... Highly recommend!

Not even a Hurricane could ruin our stay

Our stay was great and the house was perfect for our needs. It was clean, had a great location and was just as advertised. Yes that is correct, we stayed here when Hurricane Hillary came through. Thought about going home early but then stayed. We had no issue and still had a great vacation. Thank you Pat

Location Location Location

This is a perfect location to explore Balboa & the surrounding area. Host is lovely & welcoming. Unit is clean, well stocked & the bed is very comfortable. Having the garage is a big plus (a large cars or truck wouldn't fit). We enjoyed walking the island in the am, walking to main st restaurants (10 min), taking the ferry (5 min walk). Quiet neighborhood. The unit is an upstairs back unit with 16 steps so not accessible for someone who is not mobile (we're 70 & had no problems but a wheelchair or inability to climb steps wouldn't work). We visit the area frequently & would definitely stay again.

Exceeded Expectations- Perfect Balboa Island Retreat

This was my second stay on Balboa Island at this property, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! The open floor plan of the rental was fantastic, providing a spacious and comfortable environment. I loved the seamless flow and the abundance of natural light that filled the space. The outdoor patio with a BBQ was a true gem. It was so enjoyable to spend time there, whether it was grilling delicious meals or simply unwinding with a drink. The ample space and cozy seating made it perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings. The cleanliness of the rental was impeccable, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail. Everything was well-maintained and spotless, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The location of the rental was ideal. Balboa Island offers a delightful atmosphere, and being within walking distance of its attractions was a huge plus. I loved exploring the charming shops and indulging in the local cuisine. The owner was incredibly responsive and accommodating. Any questions or requests I had were promptly addressed, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this rental for anyone seeking a perfect island getaway.

Late July Balboa Island Getaway

Great location with about a half mile walk to Marine Avenue and lots of fun restaurants. The boardwalk was just a block from the unit and provided beautiful Island bayside walks. The outside deck was great for dining alfresco. The attached garage was a definate plus and took away parking stress when taking the car out. Overall great stay for us.

Wonderful apartment that feels like a private cottage

Cute apartment with a nice rooftop deck. Looks just like the pictures. Feels more like a cottage with the beamed ceilings in the living room. Comfy bed, fast wifi, pleasant kitchen and bathroom. Garage parking was great to have. Note that only smaller cars/suvs will fit. Excellent communication with the host. Will rent again!

Month Long Get Away

I found the property to be very comfortable for my month long get away. I was working remotely during my stay and the wifi worked without a problem. Balboa Island is lovely and very walkable. I was able to walk around the Island to shopping and restaurants. I took the Ferry to the Balboa peninsula to walk on the beach and watch the sunset.

Great Cottage

Location was great and the cottage is well equipped. We really enjoy cooking so the kitchen was very well equipped. The outdoor deck was where we ate most our meals t9 enjoy the lovely weather. We would definitely stay here again! Pat was a great communicating with us and was an awesome host!

Excellent Get Away

The apartment is appointed very nicely with everything you would need and want. Pat, is extrememly responsive and only a phone call away. Any issue or concern is resolved immediately. The location is wonderful. Only steps away from the North Bayfront. The deck was a major plus with its solar umbrella and comfortable furniture. We totally enjoyed our time away here and so will you.

Great location, very nice unit

This property is really nice. It's very close to the beach and just a 8-10 minute walk to downtown. It has a nice little sitting area deck where you can sit out or have meals. Guests should know that you're required to dump all garbage and wash & dry all towels before you leave. Not a huge deal, but a little more work than other rentals I've stayed at. The host is very responsive and will promptly fix anything you need fixing. I believe it's a new listing, and while there were some minor things that needed maintenance, the host assured me that they will be addressed before the next guest. I'm sure the property will be a "5" for the next guest, but my rating reflects how my daughter and I experienced it as we first arrived.
