Communication with Alisha was always immediate. We loved the peace and quiet that was accurately described. Directions and ease of check in were flawless. One of the best
We had a wonderful time at Alisha’s place! The accommodations, communication, and anything else was stellar. We knew as we pulled up and the horses were literally in our windows looking for love that we’d found the right place to celebrate our 10 year olds! Fishing was amazing. Feeding the horses was amazing and everything about our stay was excellent. Comfy beds…all the things! We will definitely be back!
The cabin is fabulous. My only complaint is the road leading to the cabin, there are three areas that need to be filled in. The road is quite a ways back to the cabin, which is fine. I just wish I knew how bad the road was driving back. We would have brought our other car. The scenery is breathtaking, the quiet is welcoming, the horses are fun to watch. There are plenty of activities in the area if you want to explore. The river is beautiful which isn’t far away. The personal touches are thoughtful. It was great being able to bring our fur baby. I would recommend this cabin to anyone, just be careful of the road.
Home is well situated between outdoor adventure and downtown activities. We spent 90% of our time in the Pisgah Park it was only a very short drive with an abundance of opportunities for our kids to explore the trails and water holes. You could easily spend a week at the farm on the trails and at the pond. The property was quiet and cozy with plenty of room for family meals and beautiful surroundings for relaxing. Loved looking at the night sky, seeing all the wildflowers, observing nature from the porch, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, and seeing wild turkeys. Could not ask for a better location and cannot wait to visit again!!
We stayed here in July with our 3 active kids. Great location for access to Pisgah Forest waterfalls, the Dupont Forest waterfalls, and biking on a great trail in Hendersonville. About 30-40 min into Asheville, too. My youngest, especially, loved the horses on the property. This is a cozy cabin, kitchen has sufficient pots, pans, tools. Quiet and dark, we slept late every day!
The host answered any questions I had promptly. The directions were clear. We felt very safe. We didnt get to explore the property as we had intended due to rain. Just to note: Not the property fault but our Verizon had little to no service for internet. We could text however.
Authentic mountain cabin. Wonderful location next to Pisgah forest. We fished, hiked, played Woofleball in the backyard, enjoyed the horses and relaxed. The bathroom locations in the house are not conducive to privacy as has been mentioned in other reviews but we managed. Alisha was very responsive to issues we encountered during our stay. Overall a wonderful vacation.
Turkey Pen exceeded all our expectations. Very comfortable, very clean, and attention to accommodating details greatly appreciated. The backyard was a godsend for us and our little Frenchie, who loved walking around the backyard and enjoying the quiet and peacefulness. It was the perfect retreat for us between trips of hiking and mountain biking. We would love to come back!
We had a wonderful time at Turkey Run cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nicely furnished. The bed was comfy. The view was so lovely while sitting on porch swing. We did a lot of hiking in Pisgah Forest and the waterfalls are so pretty. Loved coming back to the cabin and being greeted by the friendly horses.Alisha was great at communication with us.Brevard was a charming town and people so friendly. We hope to return in the future!

Thank you for taking the time to write such a sweet review! We loved having you & hope to be able to host you again!
We stayed here for a few days over spring break with three teenagers and two golden retrievers. It was perfect for us. The kids loved being able to walk out into the pastures to pet the horses. The boys loved fishing on the pond. It was close enough that we were able to go to Brevard for dinner one evening while also enjoying the wide open spaces of the farm. We enjoyed the view from our porch as we ate lunch and grilled burgers. It was perfect for us and dogs definitely had the time of their lives
