The property was as advertised. It was clean and there was plenty of room for my family of 4. The place is updated and has large tvs in each room. We all agreed that beds were awesome and made for a great nights sleep. The location was close to major highways, making it easy to get anywhere we needed to go. I would definitely stay here again. Bring your own everything, take pictures of everything on your way out.

There were two or three half used rolls of rough sand papery toilet paper under the sink, so we went out and bought our own. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the shower were small hospitality bottles, but they were not any brand i'm familiar with, so thankfully we brought our own to use. The listing itself has no check in or check out instructions, but everything you're expected to know is sloppily written in multiple colors on a dry erase board in the entryway, half erased. The wifi password is incorrect, the host will contact you by text and phonecall and demand a call back before ever trying to bleach the white bath towels. if you've stained them with hair color or makeup, they will file a claim with vrbo and include damage you are fairly certain you could not have caused. I have no way to prove that I did not do this because I did not document, and that was a mistake. Full disclosure, I did stain a pillow case and towels with residual hair dye from my wet hair, but hosts in hospitality having linens that cannot be cleaned with a stain remover are in for a lot of disappointment. This location and listing are fraught with weird choices, and in my opinion, this stay is not worth the price.

The space was great! We needed a place for us, our kids and their SO's on short notice and it worked well. Areas were clean and recently updated. We had the run of the entire upstairs and would have enjoyed the outdoor balcony if it wasnt winter. The normal supplies were limited so pick up some of the basics (PT, TP, garbage bags, coffee pods, ice, etc). There's also no dishwasher (to be fair none listed in the description). Not a huge deal since the place is very close to downtown Islip with many great restautants, a fabulous diner, and other good take out options. Ross was super responsive and a great host.

My one and only son is still young so I try to take him wherever I can to put a smile on his face. I like being a host because I enjoy talking with people and guiding them to great restaurants or a special place to go and make them happy. I always want my guest to be comfortable and that’s why we use top-of-the-line Batting furniture, mattresses, etc.

Why they chose this property

Islip is a great area. It’s very close to both sunrise highway and the southern state. It’s not that far from the Hamptons at the same time there’s plenty of things to do fantastic restaurants to eat at and towns all around. It have a lot to offer as well as the airport being in Iceland, which is Macarther Airport. You can take a ferry to the very short drive over to fire Island. Go explore many different parts of Long Island. Living on an island is really amazing especially when you can take a drive and be in Manhattan.!!!! I love To be in a rural neighborhood and I am a general contractor, This place will always get better and better as time goes by no matter what I do, expect to do a large deck, project and patio in the backyard along with fencing very soon

What makes this property unique

I feel that this property is different than most properties. You will see because I have fully modernized everything in the home every square inch of the home has been remodeled two separate times in the last 10 years each time it was remodeled it was made even better the lighting fixtures were all changed the flooring completely refinished the railing, things like brand new washer dryer the sheets, the down pillows, the down comforters, the hotel collection quality of the mattresses, as well as all the solid wood furniture. Everything is modernized and made to fit perfectly in the rooms. Everything is matching and I think the color coordination as well as the location, makes it a special place.
