We had a great stay in Rome at Maison Cloe, it was the perfect location for us, close to everything we wanted to do and see. Ramin was great to deal with, very quick to respond. Would definitely stay there again on our next visit to the great city of Rome. Loved the old fashioned elevator in the building and enjoyed dinner at Alfredo's around the corner.
Very European. Beautiful hardwood floors. A lift (elevator) made of decorative iron. Can walk out lower level in back to restaurants, etc. Main front level faces River. Very secure.

Ramin the pretty manager was really helpful and quick to provide and information we needed, even giving us some good options for restaurants to try.
The accommodation was perfect, within walking distance to all main tourist attractions. Both rooms were en-suite so were perfect for what we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and the small balcony was good for a morning coffee.
Definitely would stay here again.
Fabulous location and really easy checking in. Only comment is that due to the proximity of the road there is quite a lot of road noise on the balcony- but you can’t have everything!
This was the perfect location and the flat was delightful. Our host was helpful in booking transportation and local restaurants to try. A grocery and ATM are very close. Highly recommend.
The property was very nice, clean, and in a great location next to the Tiber river but easy 10-15 walk to Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain and tons of restaurants, etc. We loved having the balcony!
Ramin was very communicative and coordinated an airport driver for us as well. Everything went extremely smoothly, I would book it again! Thank you Ramin!
Although Maison Cloe is close to many of Rome’s wonderful sights, there are also some disappointing aspects that we encountered. The largest bedroom was comfortable except for the street light that shone onto the head of the bed at night with no option to cover the light and the noise from traffic made it difficult to sleep at times. Our friends in the smaller bedroom complained of leaking from the shower in their bathroom requiring more towels than provided. They also reported that there were items left in the drawers but not enough space to remove them. I also got locked out of the apartment the first day there because the instructions regarding how to handle the key were unclear.Otherwise, the apartment was tidy and had a well appointed kitchen and living area. The balcony was also nice, although the noise from the traffic was a bit disturbing.
A perfect location making it a breeze to get anywhere. Ramin was the consummate host, always available to answer questions and help us when needed. The apt was clean, a bit noisy at night due to the lungotevere marzio but we acclimated after one night and slept well. Beds were comfortable (no sagging!). Lots of dishes, glassware and a nespresso machine. We appreciated the salt, pepper, coffee, olive oil, vinegar and spices in the kitchen as well as plenty of toilet paper, dishwasher & laundry detergent, body wash and shampoo. The bldg itself is beautiful w/marble steps and an interior elevator. Its very secure. The apt has many quirks that we appreciated. There were many mirrors in the small primary bathroom, one w/ a handle. I thought it was a medicine cabinet. To my surprise it opened to an interior/exterior space that other apts had windows into too. Delightful! There are little steps up and down throughout the apt so one has to be mindful of those. The primary shower is small and has a step w/i it so not great for folks with mobility issues (the shower in the other bathroom is a walk in and more spacious). Ramin was kind enough to give us a long list of non-touristy restaurants. We tried several and they all were wonderful. I highly recommend Supplizio. You MUST try the Roman street food called "suppli". It is very basically fried rice balls - aka arancini - but so much more than that and some places offer different flavors. We will be back!
My wife, sister-in-law and her husband travelled to Rome to start our vacation to Italy. We chose Maison Cloe based on its location and the great reviews. The apartment was centrally located and provided great access the sites in Rome. In addition, we want to compliment the property manager, Ramin. He was approachable and easily reached when we had questions. We also enjoyed the patio which allowed us to enjoy the great views.
Unfortunately, we were displeased with our accommodations. The furnishings were spartan and outdated and the beds very hard. My wife and I were stuck with the bedroom that included the smallest bathroom we have ever used. There was barely enough room for one of us, much less two. The vanity had no room for our toiletries so we had to keep them stored in the armoire in our bedroom. In addition, the bathtub/shower was actually dangerous to use. There was little room to stand in it because half of the tub floor included a ledge that I assume was supposed to be used to sit on. There was no grab bar available, so entering and exiting the bath were precarious. The bathroom in the other bedroom was a bit larger with a walk-in shower but was also very small.
The kitchen was cramped and the appliances difficult to use. There's no way a full meal could be prepared in there.
In summary, this apartment needs some major updates before we would recommend this to anyone. It is not worth what we paid to rent it.
Location was key for choosing this place. Easy 10-15 minute walk to Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, St Peter’s Basilica; 25-30 minute walk to the Vatican Museums & Colosseum. The street outside is very busy, but we knew that ahead of time. The apartment itself is quite large with plenty of room for our family of 5. The bathrooms are small, but there are 2. The balcony was lovely, but still a bit cool in March. The unit does show its age, but served its purpose. Host communication was 10/10.
1. Ramin was wonderful. Could not have a better host and I have traveled a lot. He went the extra mile many times and almost always responded within minutes.
2. Location is perfect. Could walk easily to most sights in the center of the historic district.
3. Owner lives in building and worked well with Ramin to correct any problems. Even gave us some of his special olive oil and salt to enjoy while we were there.
4. It has a new Bosch dishwasher, a good washing machine (but no rack to dry clothes so we had to hang on hangers to dry), good appliances in the kitchen and plenty of nice white dishes.
5. BUT the building is very old and the apt. needs a deep cleaning/painting. Walls are nicked and dirty, construction work not well done (e.g., the hardwood floors have gaps between the floors and the walls and no baseboards, and there are several steps up and down within the apt. that are pretty well marked but can pose serious hazards). In going from the second bedroom's bathroom to the kitchen, there are 4 steps that blend very well with the flooring and could be missed. Also, the master bathroom is VERY small, but the second bath is a good size. Small bedroom could use a new bureau.
5) I am a clean freak and this is not a good apartment for a clean freak.
6) I have stayed in much better apartments in Rome that are less expensive.
The description of the apartment were accurate. The apartment security and building was clean and beautiful.
It is as stated on a busy road next to the river. The view was beautiful. The street was busy and a little noisy. The windows and doors did muffle the sound a bit. ( bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise at night)
The location was great. Walking distance to everything. Vatican was the furthest a 25 minute walk.
Very clean and the host was very gracious.
Overall a great stay. Enjoyed by us all!
We had a lovely 4-night stay at this apartment in Rome. We pretty much walked everywhere; about 15 min to the Trevi Fountain. Many restaurants and shops nearby and the Carrefour Express was only about a 5 min walk away which was very convenient. The host was very responsive via Whatsapp and answered all over queries in a timely manner. The residence itself was super clean and comfortable with two bedrooms and two baths with white fluffy towels. The A/C worked well and there was a cute balcony overlooking the Tiber River. Almost across the road from Castel Sant'Angelo. Please be aware that you will have to pay some taxes in cash upon arrival. Also it is on a main road so can be slightly noisy at night. But overall, would HIGHLY recommend this place as it really added to the comfort and enjoyment of our stay in beautiful Roma!
Found the property and host exactly as others had described. Great location on the river, close to Vatican and city sites. The apartment was as it was described, and Ramin was an exceptional host.
