Very cool refurbished farm home with amazing outdoor space. The outdoor tubs were perfect for a hot day. In the country but just a short drive to grocery stores, restaurants, and breweries. Great for a relaxing, romantic weekend. Jane was great with her communication and has done a great job with this property.
This stay was perfect for myself and 3 sisters for a birthday weekend staycation. We had everything we could possibly need in the kitchen, indoor and outdoor living. The backyard is SO dreamy.
Neat farm house with so many charming period-appropriate details. The kitchen is well appointed and fun to use. There are various areas to sit and relax, including outdoors. We really enjoyed our stay at this gem!
We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday in this lovely, unique farmhouse in Pittsboro, NC. Jane was an incredible host! We will come back if we have the chance.
We thoroughly enjoyed the farmhouse, family time over breakfast and evenings, and the convenience to Chapel Hill, and local towns of Pittsboro and Saxapahaw. The host was outstanding making our stay delightful. We only wish we had more time!Thank you.
The home and grounds were beautiful, even in the dead of winter. We wanted a clean, quiet place to stay that allowed our dogs and this filled the bill perfectly!
Such a unique property and house. Everything was clean and the owners were super helpful with anything that was needed. Definitely a place we will stay again!!
What a fantastic place for our family to get together to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. Everything was perfect and the outdoor areas was spectacular! Would stay there again anytime I am in the area
We had a great weekend at the Hotsy Totsy! The attention to detail in the decor made our stay even more enjoyable and interesting! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!
Our stay was amazing. The house was super cozy and warm. We felt relaxed and got to spend our time together as a family. With no TV in the living room we played the games they offered. It was a wonderful time with our family. The beds are super comfortable as well and got a great night sleep.
I can’t say enough about how cozy and peaceful this home was. Quilts, tea, firewood, puzzles, greenery on the mantle…so many details to make you feel enveloped in warmth and care.
We stayed over Labor Day and had a fabulous time! The property and house are just amazing and we were so comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and we all slept really well! We enjoyed exploring the house and property. We didn’t want to leave and hope to be back!
The amazingly restored whimsical farmhouse sits on a country road not far from Pittsboro, NC. Furnished with antiques and thrift store finds, it offers welcoming porches and beautiful outdoor spaces where friends can gather or a couple can spend a quiet weekend. Beautiful, large kitchen and a table just asking to be crowded. Very tidy and well maintained. Exceptional hosts!!
We were in town for a wedding and stayed at Hotsy Totsy for the weekend. It was so cute and well-appointed. We opted to stay in for dinner one night because we didn't want to leave. I highly recommend!
This property surpassed our expectations. It was the best stocked most complete location with so many extras you didn't realize you need. We arrived on Thursday and departed Monday. The informed us it was cleaned and let us in a bit early which was super kind. With children through adults we were all satisfied
Super unique and fun property with all the amenities and lovely, responsive owners. We loved the comfy beds, light-filled kitchen, folksy decor and attention to detail, along with the outdoor areas. The location was a touch further from Chapel Hill than we’d predicted — our mistake — but the pretty drive made the journey back and forth pleasurable. There was a smell of damp throughtout the house when we were there, but there had been recent rains; I would check with the hosts to make sure that’s dispelled when booking. Otherwise a great stay!

Thanks for staying with us and for the kind review, Heather! On the issue of the dampness, we have had one major storm after another this season (we’re actually feeling the brunt of Hurricane Helene as I type this). In this season of record breaking rainfall totals, there has been no opportunity to dry out, which can unfortunately create mustiness in antique homes like ours. Thankfully, we have been able to run dehumidifiers in the house all week since you left, and the dampness has been eliminated. We’re sorry you had to experience that, and are looking forward to drier days to come.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming Civil War-era farmhouse in Pittsboro, North Carolina. The home is situated on 7 beautiful acres and is filled with so much character and warmth. Every corner of the house is thoughtfully decorated, with unique knickknacks and treasures that make you feel like you’re stepping back in time while still enjoying all the modern comforts. It seemed like every time I turned around, I discovered something new and delightful. Jane has truly done an incredible job giving this place so much personality and charm. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique getaway!
We were in town for a wedding in Chapel Hill but wanted something more comfortable than a hotel and that would allow our dog to join us. This home and property were perfect for our needs. Well-appointed throughout, great kitchen, and full of creative and comfortable spaces. The kitchen porch was the gathering space for our morning coffee. The campfire was a natural place to gather and chat about the day (and enjoy the night stars). Don't overlook the little day bed in the loft (open a book and try not to fall into a blissful nap). The outdoor tubs, the fully stocked kitchen, the porches, and all of the other thoughtfully created "spaces" invited you in. Unique, perhaps even eclectic, but the best word to describe this place is "comfortable". This place is great for a friends or family gathering, Jane, the owner communicated well and truly wanted us to be happy. If we had actually met, I suspect a hug would have soon followed.
