Very clean farm house with beautiful apple and pear trees. Tons of fun critters to watch. Comfortable beds, great water pressure, all you need to make some meals for a college kid away from home. Great stay.
Clean, roomy farmhouse. If you want to be out in the country but not far from a town, this is a great choice. So much to do in the area, then come back to a campfire and listen to the coyotes sing.
Gorgeous home, secluded and did not feel trapped like a hotel/motel. The place was in great condition and smelled good! Amazing water pressure in the shower!
House was very clean and spacious. Very quiet and peaceful at night. Enjoyed seeing the stars at night. Only about 15 minutes from downtown Houghton and MTU.
We absolutely loved the house. It was very clean. Deer in the yard was a bonus to see. Everything was convenient to get to. I would recommend this house and I would definitely come back.
This property was as represented. It is a very comfortable home on a beautiful farm setting. There was an abundance of wildlife to watch, including some does with fawns. The bird watchers in our family loved the variety that were presenting themselves all through each day. This was a great base for day trips to nearby attractions. And the quiet of this country setting was perfect for our down time. The host was excellent with his communication. This was one of our favorite rentals and we would definitely consider a return trip.
If you’re looking for a nice, quiet place just outside of town, this is a great choice. The house had plenty of room for us, and we really enjoyed the peaceful setting. We only wish the weather had cooperated a little more so we could have used the deck and fire pit!The house isn’t fancy, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Everything was very clean, and the host responded quickly whenever I had a question. One small touch we really appreciated was having coffee waiting for us. Since we arrived late, it was great knowing we didn’t have to worry about finding coffee first thing in the morning. I wish more VRBO properties provided simple basics like coffee, creamer, and sugar—it makes a difference.Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing place away from the busyness of town, but close to everything.
Great property, grill needed to be cleaned but other than that, everything was good. The barn is really cool and the old stero system outside the bathroom brings back memories. The house reminds me of an old updated farmhouse...what my grandparents' house would have looked like. We'd stay here again. Sand Hill cranes flew over and wild turkeys were around too, and you can hear both of them near the house
A comfortable clean home with a great view from the deck. Situated on a large green space with a classic old barn, privacy is guaranteed. A quick 15 minute scenic drive from MTU. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. A large living room and a large dining room kitchen area.
