Large Mediterranean pool, river, basketball, sleeps 26, 8 bedrooms

This large 8 bedroom mediterranean waterfront home with private pool is one of the nicest vacation rentals in the New Braunfels/McQueeney/Seguin area. The 8th bedroom opens in February. Perfect for large groups, individuals, family reunions, church retreats and small family getaways. With 6000 sq ft, this home is large and features a full range of upgrades. Features include an elevator, sub-zero refrigerator, pool table, (2) living areas, basketball court, private pool and (2) canoes. The pool is oversized to handle the large groups. The backyard is chain-link fenced for the kids and pets. Pet fee $95.

The pool is oversized to accommodate large groups such as reunions and retreats. It is private and not a community pool. Pool closes November 15th and reopens March 8. The property (pool and courts) extend across the street. We may stop by to collect trash, check pool and/or answer guest questions.

Area activities include Schlitterbahn, Sea World, ZDT, Fiesta Texas, San Marcos Outlet Mall, San Antonio Riverwalk, San Antonio zoo and the Alamo.

Large property with lots of room. The property definitely was in need of a deep cleaning. I spent most of our first day dusting and cleaning. There are just way too many artificial plants and knickknacks that are gathering dust and spiderwebs. Bedding and linens were cleans and beds were comfortable though.

The spider web was on the ceiling of the stairway (30 feet high - 3rd story ceiling). We had to retrieve a swimming pool extension pole with a brush to remove it. The artificial plants are routine wiped down however if you don't use a cleaner (I recommend Scrubbing Bubbles) the dust reappears once dry. The cleaners no longer take the plants outside and spray them. We use a foam cleaner instead.

The house was wonderful for our party of 13 people. It is large and there are many places to relax both inside and out. My father enjoyed the pool immensely. Randy was very responsive and helpful with our communication. He even came over on our arrival date when I sent him an email with concerns about a possible leak with the fridge. Overall great place - just needs some clean up of outside (projects in process) and a deep clean and paint refresh in some areas. It is in a wonderful neighborhood.

The owner was very prompt when I called with any concerns. The coffee maker wasn’t working and within thirty minutes he was at the door with a new one & additional paddles for the canoe! We all (15 of us) had plenty of space to spread out and fun for every desire!

The house is big enough for large groups, but it is VERY dirty. everything is covered in dust, saw a few dead bugs, floors dirty, cobwebs everywhere. It desperately needs a very deep cleaning. When we arrived at the property, the pool had piles of dirt and leaves in it. We called the host and he came immediately and cleaned it. The bathrooms are very dirty, and there are not enough bathrooms for the amount of people the house can hold. All furniture is random and mismatched and dirty. There is what looks like a burn pile right in front of the house along with piles of junk. There is an old nasty couch in the backyard as well. Overall, we would never stay here again. The amount of space it can provide is not worth the level of filth it came with.

Im so sorry. It had been raining all day and we cleaned the pool twice. The "couch" in the backyard was a bench that floated down the river and the last group pulled it out. I was not aware of it till now. As far as the cleaning, we use a company out of San Marcos that have been cleaning for more than 20 years. We haven't got complaints about them in the past. However since we have several other homes in the area we use several companies and can switch. There was no "junk" in the front yard. There was a stack of branches outside the gated yard for removal.

Good location. Very responsive host. We had 14 folks staying at the house for a long family birthday celebration weekend. I worried about three bathrooms with that many people but it was fine. Lots of seating and space for cooking, playing games and conversation.

Stayed at this property for a long weekend early November. Host was very responsive to questions and had great communication. Checkout was a BREEZE which made getting our large group together and out on time the easiest part of the road trip by far. Plenty of air conditioning to make sure every one can be comfortable and the house is very spacious. Could use a bit of a deep clean but I do understand it’s on the water in the Texas summer so that may be part of it too. Overall it was a great house for my large group! Would stay again.

Great place for a large group stay

This was the perfect place for our basketball team while in town for a tournament! Sleeps so many and has several hangout areas - the boys loved it! Property manager was easy to communicate with and didn’t have a crazy list of stuff we had to do before checking out - love that so much!!

Plenty of room

The property easily accommodated our group. However if you have a large group, there are only 3 bathrooms. This made showering and getting ready for our outings a bit stressful. The students loved the pool, river, and the billiards table.
