My kids and I enjoyed our stay at this Lake house. You do have to share the resources and backyard area with neighbors, but we didn’t mind. Our dog had fun running around, but the yard is not fenced. The host was quick to respond. The cabin was nice. It’s clearly an older home that was fixed up a bit, but it served its purpose. The scenery and location were wonderful.
Was a nice stay. Great host and lovely location with added amenities. The kayaks, fishing poles, zip line, and fire pit was lovely. Loved the fact we could bring our fur baby.A couple of things that would have made it 5 stars:- blinds in the living room would be nice. Felt like the house to the left could see in from the patio area. -Water pressure was consistently low and the bathtub water spout was loose and not secured to the shower wall.Overall great stay and would recommend this vacation rental to others.
We had a really good time. The zip line and tree swing was an added bonus. The view and the deck at the lake was just beautiful. I was able to take great photos. The cabin was really clean and had great WiFi.My family really enjoyed our stay.
This little house was perfect for our family of 5 and 1 dog! The sunset view was breathtaking and unmatched by anywhere else! The kids actually enjoyed being outside rather than looking at their screens. The hosts had every need met when we arrived! Will definitely try to be back!
Clean enough on the inside except for the moldy shower curtain. The outside of the house was completely filthy and unattractive. It needs a good power wash. There is also vegetation growing out of the gutter and the deck was full of spiderwebs. The owner does not share on the listing that you don't have a private backyard. The house next door shares the yard. The first night no big deal, the second night a loud group of young people showed up who could care less about peace and quiet.
The cabin was not prepared and cleaned upon arriving. The air conditioner in the living room did not blow cold air, with the unit set on high, barely any air come out the vents. The back door was held close with a shoe string. This Home reminds me of what you would see in a trailer park. The host did refund me my cleaning fee. Vrbo also took care of me also. The pictures that are listed on the listing do not do justice to what it actually is there. I was highly disappointed on this trip. Lesson learned!!!
It was such a wonderful stay! Beautiful property and location with such a nice housing arrangement! The house was clean, the lake was beautiful, the surrounding area was nice for activities- everything perfect! Definitely recommend.
Our stay was wonderful, everything at this property was as described. The lake was gorgeous and perfect for swimming and kayaking! We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend to anyone interested!
Perfect getaway. We stayed 3 nights for a Petit Jean and area sight seeing focused trip. Dog friendly for our little gal. Really enjoyed the lake views. Older house that has been nicely remodeled and very clean.
The lake house was quaint and extremely well stocked. The sunsets over the lake were beautiful. Jason was very quick to respond and easy to communicate with.

The cabin was cute and well stocked. Beautiful view and sunsets. However, we had a bowl of candy on the counter that got covered in ants, two of the three nights we were woken by barking dogs. One night the dog was on the back deck barking at 4 in the morning. The host chose not to respond to my message. At least 3 of the kayaks take on water. The outside of the house is grubby, there were cobwebs on everything. The backyard is shared with another house so if you want privacy, this isn’t the place. For these reasons, we will not stay here again.
Cute little home on the lake! Great for little families like ours! We always love watching the sunsets here!

About the host
Hosted by Jason Bolden
We bought this cabin and renovated it in large part because we fell in love with view. We enjoy spending time on the deck, watching the birds--bald eagles, ospreys, great blue herons, pelicans, etc. My kids love to swim in the lake. My wife and I never miss an opportunity to kayak throughout the lake, especially around the island. Even on a busy holiday, there is maybe 10 boats on the lake; this made us feel comfortable taking our kids out in kayaks.
Why they chose this property
We have tried to make this a perfect family retreat. We own the house next door too. The backyard is huge and shared between the two homes. Feel free to enjoy the 55 foot long zipline! My kids will play on it for an hour straight! There is also a tree swing, tether ball, picnic table, fire pit, about 9 kayaks, a canoe and paddles, dock for swimming, fishing or kayaking.
What makes this property unique
This is a small lake cabin about 750 SF. It is one bedroom, but has two beds and a sleeper sofa. The living room, kitchen and dining area is all open in one large room where regardless of where you are the 15 feet of windows showcases the fantastic view of the lake. The deck runs across the entire back of the cabin and has lots of seating.
