About this property

Your Kihei Kai Nani Home! Comfortable and Quiet

Enjoy South Kihei on Maui! The Kamaole beaches are pristine; the air is beautiful, and Maui will benefit from your visit.

We are proud of our carefully maintained Kihei Kai Nani condo. Consider: air conditioning, new drapes, walk-in shower, firm and comfortable king-size bed. Our condo is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a fantastic Maui vacation. The Wi-Fi signal is strong throughout the unit.

The lanai opens onto a green lawn that provides extra room to spread out and enjoy the sun. The lanai and lawn are an "extra room" in our Maui home. (The condo is not wheelchair-accessible, however.)

In this "end unit," a living room wall of louvred windows allows the breezes to flow. The condo is equipped with air conditioning, but two efficient and quiet ceiling fans cool the condo well in all but the hottest weather. Keep the windows open and enjoy the natural flow of beautiful Hawaiian air.

The condo is in exceptional condition. It is cleaned carefully after each guest's stay and receives a deep cleaning at least twice each year.

Only one minute's walk down the driveway, we love the Kamaole 2 Beach Park. The beach and water are spectacularly clean and make for great swimming. At Kam 3, only minutes further south, the snorkeling is excellent. It is common to watch sea turtles within feet of the shore as they feed on the seaweed near the point.

Kihei Kai Nani itself is so convenient. Parking is plentiful, free, and convenient to the condo. The large freshwater pool is open from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm. Shops and restaurants are close at hand, including a well-stocked natural foods grocery and exceptional cinnamon roll bakery.

Our son-in-law Jack McHenry routinely helps us with condo bookings. When you write, you may hear back from me, Chuck Emmons, or from Jack. Together we have tried in all ways to create the Maui home that we love to visit when we use the condo ourselves. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

We had a great time during our 9-day stay. Everything was as expected. If I could request anything, it would be sharper knives and some cake pans! :) It was super quiet and we loved the proximity to the beach and restaurants/shops.

Our condo complex was in an excellent location, across the street from Kihei's Kamaole Beach II, and our unit was very comfortable. Appliances, dishes, cookware, and beach amenities were very well supplied. The bed was comfortable and our unit was very quiet, located at the back of the complex, away from street noise. We only needed to contact the owner/host once, and he replied almost immediately.

Maui Visit

Aside from a couple ants on the kitchen counter, everything was perfect and it was quite a relaxing and nice stay. Our upstairs neighbors in 258 were yelling at each other for a good portion of the trip but it wasnt unbearable to listen to (it was actually rather interesting)

Nice location and lots of room

The location was great, right in the middle of Kihei. Nice property with pool, laundry, etc. Lots of room in the condo. The carpet and drapes were old and a bit rough, but it seemed clean so we were happy. Owner answered our questions when we arrived. It was quiet and comfortable. Plenty of parking. We would stay there again if in Maui.

*Close to the beach and restaurants!! *Good cross breeze because it’s an end unit. *Updated shower is great. *Very affordable. *A/C plus ceiling fan in living room and bedroom. I would suggest replacing the stained/malodorous carpet for a solid surface.

This condo is very nice. Side windows allow good airflow - even though it was 28 C out we didn't use the air conditioner at all. We really enjoyed the large lanai, and made good use of the laundry rack. Ground floor meant no stairs!

Rented for 5 days. Arrived with a cooler and shade tent to enjoy the beautiful beaches on Maui. Surprised and delighted to find hallway closet stocked with several larger coolers, beach chairs and beach umbrellas! Kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, knives, etc.

Property was okay. Felt like it could be cleaner. Carpet had many stains and there were several dead bugs lying around. Location was nice and right across from the beach with a quick walk. Everything was pretty much within a 15-20 minute drive for the most part.

Outstanding affordable condo across the street from beach!

Host quickly responded to questions. Property was clean and comfortable, and we made good use of the provided beach chairs and umbrella. Great location in Kihei just across the street from Kamaole Beach II (rated one of Maui's beast beaches), and only a few minutes north of many other highly-rated beaches. Doesn't get any better than this! (Especially considering that the big-box hotel chains in Kaanipali are charging around $1000/night with a lot more traffic and parking fees in that area.) We had a lot of tiny ants all over. I called the owner and he sent someone over right away. It was the day before Thanksgiving. He then had an exterminator came in. He was in contact with me right away.

Great place close to Kihei Beaches, Central Maui

We spent a wonderful week here in late January. Yes, there were some tiny red ants now and then, and one or two small geckos from time to time - no worries. Quiet location back from the main road, yet just a short walking distance to the beach. Easy to carry the provided beach chairs, beach umbrella, towels, even a cooler. Kitchen was well stocked with all you need, including coffee and a water filter pitcher; just bring your groceries. Very nice shower. Check-in process was straight-forward and exactly as carefully explained. Owner communication was excellent, and local facility staff was friendly and helpful. Recommended!

Quiet and cozy

Unit is tucked up away from the street at the back of the complex. It is quiet and makes it feel more private. Also and end unit which makes it feel like there is much more outdoor space. Kitchen has everything you would need. Everything is close to walk to. The curtains and linens could use a little love and it is an island so there were quite a few more geckos and bugs in the unit than i was expecting, but not enough to be too unpleasant. I reached out to the owner about both and he was very responsive. Would stay again!

The host is very communicative, considerate and friendly. We had a wonderful vacation in this condo! It is stocked with EVERYTHING you could ever need. The bed is very comfortable, the AC is cold (but who needs it?) although we did have it on for a few hours at night, but other than that, we let the breeze do it’s thing. The lanai is the star of this place. We could not wait to get out there every morning for a coffee. (Even a peekaboo view of the ocean and a couple sunsets) Restaurants, shops and beaches surround this place, all walking distance. The location is outstanding. More than an adequate amount of parking spaces. Looking forward to next year!

This condo was just perfect! The location, the amenities, it has everything you’ll need for your stay! Beach chairs, snorkel gear, sunscreen, Maui Guide book, a nice balcony. It is quiet, comfortable and a perfect place for a couple. Communication with the host was quick and efficient. We just had a hard time to switch from Roku to cable to watch the World Cup game haha but other than that, everything was perfect! Next to some of the best restaurants in the area and gift shops. Nice sunset vibes. 🤙🏼

I’m Jack McHenry, son-in-law to Chuck Emmons. Recently I have begun helping Chuck with the condo that he and Merrie have enjoyed for years in Kihei. They both are doing well (at 90 years young), but I am now the person who will help you with your booking. Here is the owner’s statement that Chuck put together for this site: “We love Maui! For more than twenty years, my wife Merrie and I have enjoyed the wonderful air and beautiful beaches of Kihei. Since we met on Oahu in the '50s, we have considered Hawaii and Maui specifically our second home. In my spare time, I often play the ukelele and have recorded over 50 songs -- many about the beauty and the life on Maui.”

Why they chose this property

We first visited Kihei Kai Nani more than twenty years ago. It was so lovely, so relaxing. The next year we returned and decided to invest in a little piece of Paradise ourselves. We think you will love our condo. It is bright, clean, and fresh. As an end-unit in our building, its extra windows bring in wonderful light and soft Hawaiian air. It makes a fantastic place to relax and enjoy oneself any time of day -- but especially after a great day at the beach!

What makes this property unique

Wild and colorful birds visit us each morning while we breakfast on the lanai with fresh papaya, lime juice, toast and coffee. At night we can hear the ocean. The condo has everything to enjoy the beach: beach chairs, mats, beach towels, and more. Restaurants and shops are close by. We often enjoy stopping for drinks in the evening at the larger hotels, and it is easy to take in performances at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahalui.
