Let’s start with the positive. The fishing is amazing! The back porch overlooking the bay and the pier is wonderful. But let’s be clear about the kind of property we are talking about. It’s a double wide. It would be a fantastic thing to call a Fish Camp. And I’ve stayed in plenty of fish camps and caught a lot of fish and had a lot of fun. But I booked this as an elegant getaway for my wife and me on our anniversary. At this price point, I expected to be able to see the water from inside somewhere and excellent accommodations. Instead, it’s, well, a fish Camp. Furniture on the porch was tired and stained. The throw pillows on the beds that were not in pillowcases were also stained. The battery gate was open on the smoke alarm. The windows were so dirty you really couldn’t see out them. Again, no big deal for a Fish Camp. But not so exciting for a romantic getaway.

We had a great time and the property met our expectations. Having to physically show my driver’s license because I did not want to send a picture of me holding it was the only negative during our stay.

It’s a great little place to stay and has a great view. We didn’t catch anything but just being able to relax and unwind is a huge deal and it has gorgeous sunsets sitting on the pier too!!
We were very happy with the cleanliness and outdoor deck and pier. We would stay here again.

Loved the back patio. Plenty of room for your coffee, setup lures, baits for fishing. Veyr well lit at night. The best part was the pier. Caught some reds all under sized-18 inches, sand trout, a couple of flounders, and gaft tops. Of course plenty of hard heads. Ice and roomy inside. Cool ac. Just a great place

Fishing was great! Both by the house and at the end of the Pier. We all enjoyed our stay. No issues checking in /out.Only issues were the lights on poles pictured on the pier photos are all missing.. So its pretty dark on the pier. Most of the nice patio furniture pictured was missing.Several smoke detectors were removed / missing. Some trash left behind on the pier by the owners/previous renters. But the biggest disappointment were the ROACHES in the house. I have been vacationing in Rockport my whole life and have never experienced that many roaches. We all killed several, every time the lights went off/on you would find one running across the floor. Outside of the master bath windows, there no windows in the house looking at the water... That was something we did not think about but all missed when hanging in the living room / eating breakfast.Fishing was great, and the dock gets you far into the Copano bay!!! But you are paying a lot for a run down double-wide and a dock.

The house was clean and was exactly what we expected it to be. Fishing was pretty good too.
The house was clean and was extremely what we expected it to be per the pictures online. The house isn’t very far from town and some local restaurants were great. The fishing was pretty good from the pier at night. Only wish there was more lighting on the pier. Overall this place was perfect for what we were looking for.

That's so good to hear! We are so happy you were able to enjoy your stay and relax. Thank you for choosing Miss Kitty's Fishing Getaways!
Excellent location for a family to get away awesome 300-ft pier! Just like with everything good there's going to be a little bad! If you plan to tell your boat, make sure that you know where to boat ramps are. As properties in the area have their own private boat ramps. Cleanliness okay, I would suggest laying down some bug traps inside the property. But it's to be expected here in South Texas :-)

Thank you for the detailed review, Edgardo. We appreciate the feedback and will address the areas for improvement you mentioned. Pest control is an ongoing challenge in this region, and we will ensure more preventative measures are in place. We're glad the location and pier were enjoyed, and we hope you'll visit us again soon. The property’s location was amazing and relaxing, especially with its own fishing pier and deck. That alone made everything else feel less significant. In our opinion, the beds were hard to sleep on due to the hard mattresses and some of the furniture felt outdated. A few of the cushions were worn out and stained, which made them uncomfortable to sit on. Normally, we don’t pay much attention to these details, but due to the weather, we spent more time indoors than expected.Be sure to read the property instructions carefully. We were glad we did, because bringing extra toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and towels ended up being very helpful. If you plan on grilling outside, be prepared to purchase a propane tank refill, as the tank on-site was empty during our stay.Regardless, we made wonderful memories and felt truly blessed to have some long overdue time off.

The fishing was great on the pier at night - caught a Texas Grand Slam my first night - Redfish, Flounder & Speck. The lights along the pier were not working except for one in the center and the fishing lights worked, otherwise pretty dark. We got a work light to see our tackle boxes. A/C was cold, house was comfortable and the deck was phenomenal to relax and watch the friendly neighborhood ducks. The ramps were awesome for our older dogs (and us!). Lots of fun!

Pier Pressure Review
The property was nice, however the responsiveness and amenities were not quite up to par with the amount of money spent. There were very little towels and blankets provided. No shampoo or conditioner. No underwater pier lights or overhead lights at the end of the pier which made for difficult fishing at night. We were given the incorrect PW to wifi, and there was no access to smart TV features to stream movies, so technology was very outdated. The beds were squeaky and not very comfortable. There was no other information about the surrounding area or things to do. We understand that a vacation agency runs things, but it was very impersonable and unlike any VRBO we stayed at. Won't be staying at this rental property again.
