This cottage was just a perfect place to spend a peaceful week at the Bold Coast. Very comfortable and quiet, everything we needed to relax.
We'll be back!
We really enjoyed our stay at the boat house. It is in a great location. We could walk to all of the local activities. It is close to the Schoodic Point, ferry to Bar Harbor and golf club. We really like the renovation details of the boat house. This is our second stay and hope to return next year.
This property is perfection! It is cozy, quaint, serene and sits right on the water! High tide is literally feet from the house! Everything was just as I hoped it would be! I hope to return someday! I would give it 100 stars if I could! MAGICAL!
Cute boathouse and everything we needed plus more! Very well decorated, the view every morning was A+ with nature and fisherman pulling in their catch for the morning....bed was comfy, quick access to the schoodic side of açadia. . Stay here you wont regret it. Host was very nice and quick with her responses with any questions i had. Loved our stay!!!
The Boathouse is beautifully designed and very clean. After a day of hiking or sightseeing, I found the view and sound of the water calming and relaxing. I would love to stay here again someday.
The boathouse is cozy and beautifully decorated. We could sit inside and with windows open hear the waves ripple up and see lobster boats and harvesting in action just outside. The area is low key and convenient to Acadia.
Location was great for us - looking east across harbor. Sunrise & moon rising every day.
Not on busy road - harbor frontage. We were very comfortable here.
We had a great time exploring Acadia and surrounding areas. The boat house was very nice. Neighborhood very quiet. Bed very comfortable. Would love to return again
This property is absolutely charming! It had everything we needed. We spent a wonderful, peaceful, romantic week here with the family of deer that visited every day for the apples that fall off the trees. The sounds of the waves at night made for some great sleep! The town is adorable and the locals were friendly. It’s a beautiful ferry ride to Bar Harbor and the Schoodic side of Acadia Park was breathtaking and not at all crowded. I’d vacation here every year if it was up to me! I do plan on coming back.Thank you for a memorable stay!
Beautiful and comfortable gem of a house located just a few feet from the water
This house is called the boat house and inside you feel like you are indeed living in a canal boat or similar. Everything is perfectly arranged in a compact space so that you feel connected to each other without being on top of each other. The focus of the large living space is a glorious long table with benches that spans the length of the room and looks out onto the water through a row of big windows with screens. We ate here, wrote in our journals her, drank coffee, and watched the world go by. When we arrived it was cold despite the heat wave in most of the country so we had a fire the first night—all was in good working order. The kitchen is small, but well-appointed. The range/stove was great to cook on. There is a lot stuff to do nearby in Winter Harbor and Schoodic Point is a short drive or bike ride. If you like the hubbub of Bar Harbor you can be there in under an hour either by car or ferry. If you are like us though you may discovery that this house in it’s lovely spot with its gaggle of geese and curious deer was all you needed for a perfect vacation and you’ll find yourself wishing you never have to leave.

Why they chose this property
I love the Boathouse because it is so unique. It was built right on the rocky shore of Frenchman Bay. If you love the ocean like I do, you will be delighted by the sound of the waves, the smell of the salt air and watching the lobster boats coming and going from the pier.
