Perfect weekend getaway or months long stay!
Each bedroom has ensuite full bath. King bath has NEW walk in shower with grab bar. 1 King Bedroom, 1 Queen Bedroom. Rock patio. Firepit with wood provided! Weber Charcoal grill. Laundry Room for guests is located in garage on property.

Waterfall Adventure

Hootin' Henri gave us great access to the waterfalls near Mentone and Fort Payne, Alabama. We enjoyed our time at the cabin and exploring the area. The cabin was conveniently located and had everything we needed. I have recommended this property to several friends who will be visiting that area.

Wonderful weekend get away

Amazing Stay!

Honestly it was so relaxing and peaceful, the cottage is a really nice size, they’ve got a nice nearby sites to see/stores to go to guide binder which was super helpful too! Very cute and cozy, perfect getaway for my partner’s and my anniversary. Can’t recommend it enough :)

Wonderful Get-Away

Cozy Cabin was a delightful place with awesome location. Even though it was close and walkable to town, the cabin felt secluded. My dog Maya liked it too and met a neighbor’s dogs. The interior was cozy indeed!

Communication with Juli was awesome. We did have a couple of issues. I believe the FireStick failed because we couldn't watch any TV. (We didn't come there to watch TV, but the next guest might be concerned). The main issue that I think you need to address is there is septic gasses coming from Shower and toilet. We had to keep the door closed. These are just some suggestions because we love the place and Juli was awesome to communicate with.

Perfect get-away!

This cabin was impeccable! We had the most relaxing stay. It is conveniently located to town, shops, restaurants, DeSota Falls, & the Brow. However, it was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed every minute and hope to return one day soon.

Happy in the Hollow

The hosts were friendly and responded quickly. The cabin was clean. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. We enjoyed visiting the parks in the area -- Little River, Cloudland Canyon, DeSoto Falls, etc.

Beautiful, Comfortable Cabin in the Woods

Located within easy walking distance of all that Mentone has to offer, this delightful cabin in the woods was the perfect hideout for a relaxing weekend in the mountains. Our stay was lovely from start to finish. The cabin was beautiful and well setup - we had everything we needed and loved returning to "our" peaceful little oasis after a busy day. We really appreciated being able to bring our dogs with us too. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here to our family and friends, and hope that we can visit again soon!

Hootin’ Henri Review

This cute, quaint cabin is exactly as pictured and described. It was very clean, and full of all the extra little commodities to truly make you feel at home. Ms. Juli was very responsive and friendly, and even shared multiple things to do locally the day we arrived. It’s located within walking distance of Mentone, and only minutes drive from endless breathtaking views throughout. We would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to get away.

My husband and I are both designers and artists whose focus has been on vacation rental properties along the Gulf Coast and now in the quaint mountain hide-away of Mentone, AL for over 30 years. We enjoy creating spaces that are comfortable and comforting.

Why they chose this property

We consider ourselves "Stewards of the Hollow" and strive to take good care of the land here. Juli's Mom (Henrietta aka Henri) purchased the property in the 90's and spent most of her time here in her last years. It is in honor of Henri (who was a Hoot!) that we share this beautiful space with others, in the hopes that you too will feel the peace that this land offers, and leave rejuvenated and recharged.

What makes this property unique

The wonderful thing about Hoot Owl Hollow is that it feels like you are far off in the woods, yet you are really right "downtown". We use quotes because our town is so small we call it a village. To be so small we have 2 wonderful restaurants in walking distance plus you can pick up snacks, to go casseroles, meats, cheeses, beer, wine at Mentone Market.
